Stayed here last week, booking their best room at the last minute as we had to attend a funeral in the city. The funeral and memorial service ended, so we slowly made our way to the hotel, arriving between 1410 and 1415, and asked to check-in. The young guy at reception informed us that, as the official check-in time was 1500, we would have to pay £10 for an 'early check in'. We stay in hotels of various budgets all over the world on a frequent basis, and have never had this situation before. Usually, a hotel reception would simply call Housekeeping or check their systems to ascertain which rooms were ready to be occupied, and offer us one of those. If they are nice, a hotel reception may even call Housekeeping and ask if it were possible to prioritise the cleaning of a specific room. However, the staff here showed no decency and were absolutely determined to squeeze every last penny out of us, even though they were made of our circumstances- we were still dressed in funeral attire and had to get changed on a very hot, humid day....so the hotel ended up getting the £10 they were so desperate for. Vile, disgusting behaviour.

All staff from Vicky and her colleagues on the front desk - to the room staff - who did a spotless job...to breakfast and evening meal staff. Certainly not forgetting the chef. All did an excellent job of making our stay pleasant and comfortable and we wish to thank them all for that. Certainly would recommend a stay here as on another plus side its central to all amenities.

On arrival, the twin room we booked was set up as a double. We were then offered an alternative room. On entry, this was still dirty with sheets thrown across the room and dirty cups on the side of the bed. Third room offered was clean and had three beds in, so more than accommodated our requirements. This episode meant we were late for our afternoon event.

Consiglio vivamente questa struttura che si trova in una zone eccezionale a 10 minuti a piedi da qualsiasi punto di interesse, primo fra tutti la stazione. La pulizia è eccellente cosi come lo staff. Inoltre le camere dotate di porte USB consentono di caricare i propri dispositivi in modo veloce ed efficace.

Why don't they answer the phone. It's so annoying. Made a booking and booked for 1 person by mistake instead of 2 now can't get through. This is unacceptable!!! I've been trying for so long and the password reset doesn't work. I'm so angry.

My room is always immaculate after servicing by Karen who was so friendly and helpful! Plenty of towels and beverage refreshments. Breakfast is worth the money the rooms are spacious with a nice view of Birmingham Cathedral Square.
