Volubilis客房(Volubilis Luxury Guest House)

Excellent week-end passé dans cette maison, très bien placée à deux pas du centre ville grâce au tramway à proximité. Commerces et restaurants de qualité à 5’. L’accueil était excellent, très belle décoration, des chambres très confortables, bref en tout point un superbe séjour que je conseille à toutes celles et ceux qui souhaitent découvrir Bordeaux.

Mon compagnon et moi-même avons séjourné 3 nuits à la Guest House Volubilis pour partir à la découverte de la très belle ville de Bordeaux. Cette Guest House est idéalement située dans le quartier en plein renouvellement des Chartrons, à mi-chemin entre la cité du Vin et le coeur historique de Bordeaux. La proximité des quais pour une balade et l'efficacité du transport par tram sont également un avantage. Les consignes pour l'arrivée étaient très claires. Nous avons pu rencontré le propriétaire chaque matin au petit déjeuner. Il est convivial et très attentionné (j'ai même pu avoir du lait d'avoine pour mon café :-) ). Nous avons également pu échanger quelques mots avec les autres convives (allemands et néo-zélandais), c'est ce qui fait le charme des chambres d'hôtes. Cette Guest House est décorée avec goût et tout semble très récent. Je recommande vivement. Isabelle et Philippe

Les chambres sont spacieuses décorées avec goût et raffinement. Il ne manque rien pour le confort du client:lit spacieux et confortable , produits d’accueil de qualité.La pièce à vivre est très lumineuse et chaleureuse.

Hice una reserva que posteriormente cancelé en tiempo y forma. Tuve que enviar tres correos solicitando la cancelación, y finalmente me respondieron y dijeron que me reembolsarían el importe abonado. Dos meses más tarde, aún no me habían hecho el reembolso. Tuve que escribir seis correos más, llamar por teléfono, dejar mensaje en el buzón de voz. Finalmente me volvieron a contestar que me lo reintegraban inmediatamente y pasó una semana hasta que lo hicieron. Ha sido una pesadilla conseguir la devolución, no contestaban nunca a mis mensajes, la sensación de impotencia fue total.

Se trata de una casa rehabilitada, el precio de las habitaciones no se corresponde con lo que ofrecen hoteles de esas caracteristicas. La habitacion muy oscura, dos alfombras al pie de cama que ya no se utilizan. El desayuno pesimo, ni un bizcocho, ni galletas, ni cereales, ni jamon ni fiambres, …solo unos cruasanes y unos huevos para que tu los hagas al vapor, la macedonia de frutas no la renovaron en los tres dias que estuvimos. Hay unas madalenas duras como piedras. No lo recomendaria a nadie, y desde luego no puede ir nadie que tenga algun problema de movilidad , hay unas escaleras muy empinadas y no hay ascensor, y hay que subir maletas. Por cierto la tele no funciona y cuando la arreglaron tiene el sonido cortado imagino porque las puertas no cierran bien y asi no molesta a los vecinos. Ninguna recomendacion por,parte del dueño, ni atencion ninguna.

I spent three nights at Volubilis Guest House and here's my feedback: Positive aspects: nice and spacious room; good breakfast; helpful staff; good location (even if it is not in the city-center). Negative aspects: the room soundproofing is not good at all (you can hear the noise coming from the street and other guests walking around, having breakfast, taking a shower, etc.); no daily housekeeping is provided; breakfast is available from 8 a.m. onwards, which is a bit late if you have to leave early in the morning and you would like to have breakfast before leaving; no elevator; the shutters and curtains are not blackout so the room is not completely dark (which is not very pleasant if you are sensitive to sunlight). Personally, I would not stay at this guest house again.

The parking that is advertised is street parking and an unofficial lot near a closed swimming pool/athletic center, about 4 minute walk away. Although we had no issues arise from leaving our car unattended for two different nights, I wasn't super comfortable with the situation. A car nearby had a window broken and two others had their side mirror broken. Also, out of an abundance of caution I wouldn't have let my wife park the car alone at night even though the neighborhood seemed simply residential and nice. The host was great and spoke some English. Nice sitting room/breakfast space and good breakfast provided. Tram stop was only a couple blocks away.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here for our 2 year wedding anniversary! We loved the private patio area with chairs, the modern bathroom and storage within the bedroom, and the kitchen/breakfast area. The bed was also incredibly comfortable - the best I have ever stayed in outside of my home! The location is in a nice residential area, not far from the tram and a few local neighborhood restaurants. We felt very safe here, even walking around late at night. The kitchen was very convenient and well stocked with knives, plates, wine glasses as well and we were able to enjoy a nice wine and cheese evening on the patio by ourselves. Morning breakfast was lovely with plenty of both delicious and healthy items. We did notice that the door to the room was a bit thin and you were able to hear most movement/talking outside of the room, but we were some of the only guests here during our stay and were not bothered by the sound. Would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back! Thanks for a great stay :)
