裏格市集酒店(Fair Rigg)

Booked a five-night stay at Fair Rigg. What a comfortable and relaxing stay we had while staying there. Communication before arriving was excellent. Our hosts Richard and Christine were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We were lucky enough to have room 1 with beautiful views of Bowness and Lake Windemere, from the room and our bathroom, just don't forget to pull those blinds down before taking a bath. The room was comfortable and spacious with some beautiful period features. The bed was very comfortable and I had a very good night's sleep. Breakfast was included and was scrumptious with plenty of choices on the menu freshly cooked to order and we had the table by the large bay window with an excellent view while we ate breakfast. Fair Rigg situated near Bowness just a 15-minute walk to the lake and all amenities. There is on-site parking for your vehicle. It is within easy reach of all of Lake Windemere's attractions and activities. Very enjoyable 5-night stay which we enjoyed immensely and were made to feel at home by our hosts. This is a lovely Inn just a few minutes outside Bowness on Windemere. Our room was spotlessly clean, quite roomy and we had the best view from our light and airy bathroom. It was a pleasure to wake up each morning and go down to breakfast, the food is delicious and the menu had a nice variety of offerings. I can't say enough about the owners, they made us feel like we were their favorite guests! I highly recommend The Fair Rigg and would stay here again!

What an amazing place! You must come and stay here, if you can get booked in. The owners have gone out of their way to make the whole experience memorable. Not only are the rooms immaculate, but they are very well priced and come with breakfast too. Nothing was too much and they catered for our early check in, minor dietary requirements but were always on hand to offer advice/guidance for the local area. The view from the front bedrooms is stunning and overlook the lake. It’s a small walk into town via a pathway and yes, there is a small (about 5m) that isn’t paved but you can take a short cut down Smithy road which is unlit (bring a head torch!) but this allows for some amazing views of the starry skies if you are lucky enough to get the weather. We will absolutely be returning without question and so thank you to the hosts! T & E

We are actually still here at Fair Rigg and what a wonderful place they run here. Richard and Christine are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The room is spacious, exceptionally clean with a large en-suite and huge shower. The whole place looks like it’s “cared for” and well looked after. Breakfast is as good if not better than a 4* hotel in London and there is even an honesty bar should you wish to have a late night tipple or a midnight feast. The best thing is that it is a COVID safe guest house and you are encouraged to wear masks and used hand gel as and when, which is important. The great location is a plus and the friendly service goes a long way. Thank you!
