Very kind staff at the Inn and Restaurant. The place has great charm and worth a visit if you’re traveling to the area, or looking for a weekend getaway. The inn is pet friendly and was very accommodating to our golden retriever. Hotel is newly renovated, but holds the charm of the classic space.

The Inn was renovated this past year. New owners......designed quite well. The restaurant manager Samantha is strivjng to be top notch....Good Job! They will be offering Gluten Free....for sure. I brought my own gluten free rolls... Samantha was gracious to toast them for me. Front desk folks...Alyson & Jamie....take good care of you. The vocal point of this Inn is the location...centralized....charming...clean. The pricing is what it is.... We must not forget the excellent mixologists...Shannon created the Best.. Billionaire cocktail 🍹 ever for me.👸🏻🍀🤩.....

Beautiful quintessential New England inn. Every single person I interfaced with were so very gracious and helpful, above and beyond. The ladies I interfaced were Jamie, Sam and Erica. Thank you for your hard work…and just being “you”. The Elms restaurant was excellent, from the ambiance to the delicious food and Sally who had her hands full with 7 of us. We will certainly return!

My friends and I stayed over for an alumni weekend and we wanted to be close to campus. Everything about our stay was incredible! The communication with the front desk was amazing and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this quaint Inn to anyone traveling to New London!

Nice to stay at this historic property! Very nice staff, who were sure to ask if we needed anything & attended to our needs quickly. Creative artists works were displayed for guests to view and buy. We enjoyed the tea, cookies & cinnamon rolls. Loved learning about the history of the property as well.

We have stayed at the New London Inn multiple times since last fall. What we like best is the friendliness of the staff. We feel like we are staying with old friends. The rooms are cozy and a few have sloping floors, but the bathrooms are well maintained and clean and the beds are comfortable. We have stayed in 4 different rooms. One of the best parts of staying here is that you get to meet other guests in the common room where tea and coffee are available all day — and oh those delicious cookies!

Warm welcome with delicious cookies, a super-comfortable bed, and a wonderful atmosphere! Love my stays at the New London Inn!! Looking forward to my next stay with my family (including our beloved Labrador Retriever who gets spoiled by the staff!) to celebrate my daughter's college graduation !

Nutshell: Staying here is comfortable, accessible to everything you need and is a calm yet fun atmosphere with pleasing staff. No downside!! My husband and I and another couple stayed here for a long weekend getaway. We stayed in room 20, which is upstairs at the end of the hall. It's quite roomy. There's a nice desk with room to do some work as needed and there's also a little sitting area and two closets. Very comfy king bed with super soft bedding. You can really get a good night's sleep here. It's so quiet at the end of the hall, we just loved it. And the bathroom has a tub. Our friends stayed in room 25, which is at the top of the staircase near the bar and restaurant. It might be less quiet than room 20 but the bar closes at 10 so you'll still have complete quiet at night. Although this room is a little cheaper and smaller, it's a really beautiful room. There's a queen bed with a little seating area and a nice bathroom with a tub. The wood 4 poster bed is just gorgeous. The people are really friendly and welcoming. Everyone! Housekeepers are efficient and easily accessible, front desk staff is always smiling. They have delicious cookies there, along with complimentary water and soda. in the lounge they have tea and coffee readily available and in the mornings they have pastries as well, all complimentary. Wifi is fine, code to get in late night makes it easy to come and go. Restaurant is pretty and pleasant, but we didn't eat there. We did enjoy the bar though. There's a really sweet, local bartender there Wednesdays and Saturdays who makes delicious raspberry drinks! Yum. All of the bar staff are working hard and you'll have so much fun there. Very pleasing atmosphere. From the inn you can easily walk to Dunkin', several cute little shops, Peter Christians (great bar!) and also to Tuckers for the some of the most amazing breakfast food you'll ever eat and I'm not kidding. (Call ahead seating at Tuckers or you'll wait 45-60 minutes to get in there.) Try this place, you won't be sorry.
