瑪特洛酒店(The Martello Hotel)

l'appartement est confortable avec la possibilité de faire la cuisine. l'emplacement est idéal proche de la plage et de la gare du DART. Par contre il n'y a pas de parking et le stationnement est payant (pas cher ) mais compliqué à mettre en oeuvre sur internet.

Très bel hôtel, face à la mer. Le restaurant était bon et le service rapide. Cependant j’ai été malade durant la nuit, peut être dû à la nourriture mais ? Seul autre hic, l’insonorisation, nous arrêtions pas d’entendre les portes des voisins claquer.

On the upside the staff are amazing, the food is decent, the drinks choices are good, the location is on the seafront and near to the DART train into Dublin and it is a lovely place plus the wifi is good and the room aircon excellent. On the downside our room always smelled of cooking oil. I think it needs to be changed more regularly guys! And you do need ear plugs if you want to sleep before 3am on a Friday or Saturday as the bands and disco keep going all night!

The hotel was nice! The staff was very friendly and nice! However, the area outside was very dirty and very loud! If you want to sleep or if you want to be able to sleep before 3am this is not the hotel for you. Also parking is horrible- literally no parking anywhere close to the hotel!

The Martello is fantastic! I can’t recommend this property enough. Bray is an underrated city in Ireland - and the Martello makes it even better! Excellent location, wonderful staff and prime food/bar/restaurant on site. Samy the bartender is a wonderful mixologist and fun to chat with too!

Stayed this past weekend with my partner and 7 month old baby girl. We ended up with an apar**ent style room in the adjoining building, which on paper suited us well. The hotel looks like they're carrying out building work. The rubbish from these works was spilling out from a side entrance and a skip both of which greated us every time we entered and exited the apar**ent building. The security door at the entrance to the apar**ent building wasn't working correctly and was often unlocked. We initially thought our apar**ent was great but that subsided quickly. It was very stuffy and warm and with no airflow. Coupled with dusty fixtures and fittings it made for an uncomfortable environment. We've all come back home with coughs and sniffs. Despite the the disappointing room and exit/entrance area the service from the staff and food in the bar was excellent. We had breakfast both mornings in the bar and it was brilliant. The coffee was also top notch.

The service was so so.They are doing a lot of renovations and there is dust EVERYWHERE. I can understand working certain times and cleanup after, butin passed 8pm is not acceptable when you have a small child. The rooms were soooo tiny you can barely get around. You open the door and the door nearly hits the bed. The food was ok. Seemed put together in a rush. Lastly there was NO heat in our room. We tried the remote (it was disgusting) the wall heater, resetting it. When I noted this, they just said ok, thanks.

Very nice property and staff was super nice. Only issue is parking. It is pay to park street parking. The fee is reasonable but was not aware of it so I got a €40 parking ticket.

Lovely hotel on Bray seafront; easy access to train and good walks. Hotel seemed like the hub of the town and staff were helpful polite and friendly.
