Welcomed by reception and handed key, was told where to go (they still have keys at this location). Room, standard double. Loads of space felt like there was meant to be a single bed next to the double, bedding was travelodges bedding as you come to expect, windows opened on restrictior fine, Kettle was grimey, TV was a 27" about (from the bed hard to view but you get two chairs to sit closer). 4 milks and 4 teas and coffee, browna and white sugar but didnt have sweetners (i dont use them so didnt ask). Door locks you insert key and tunr to unlock then like a nightlatch you let it close and you cant open from outside, inner lock doesnt work so you have to rely on the latch staying in place if someone jiggles the door. Lighting was just bearly enough, Didnt light up all the room fully but around the bed it was fine, weird purple lights next to bed but that might just be leds failing causing the colour. Bathroom light, well no celing light only the mirror surround light so its dark in there so no good if youre doing makeup but thankfully large windows in the mainroom for moring makeup. Lime scale seems to be a real issue here, sink tap was half blocked by scale and the bath tap wasnt much better, shower head i would say was 25% blocked by scale, wall mounted old style with pipes in wall so cant take shower head off for washing hair without getting in the bath. Bath and sink was dirty, shower scum and genral grime. bathroom floor was dirty and seems like only a damp mop is wiped over it but the looks, not had a deep clean in a long time, its not even wear or tear otherwise i would understand. Overall for a cheap place to sleep for under £30 ill live with some grime but this is quite bad. cigarettes dumps in front beds by reception but it was a storm so i understand people wont go to the bin but surely by the morning someone cleans them out but i left at half 11 roughly so its fair to say later someone did i just wasnt there to see it cleaned. Out of 10 I give it a 7.
