I was planning New Year's trip with friends and while browsing for hotels, Postillion seemed like ”the best bang for your buck”. Originally we booked a room for 3 nights, but because a friend bought our train tickets for a day earlier by mistake, we had to come one day before planned. Fortunately, we arranged everything with the receptionist over a simple phone call and got another room for that extra night (because ”ours” was occupied that night). If you travel by train like us, there is a short 15 minute walk from Bunnik train station to the hotel. The hotel is very clean and tidied up. Rooms have electric kettle and some tea and instant coffee packets, which is very helpful. A nice touch to the room is a bean bag. There is no mini bar, probably because drinking alcohol isn't allowed in the hotel. Bathrooms are a bit small, but if you're staying for a few nights it's okay. It was a little cold in the room, but we read that is a common thing in the Netherlands this winter. It would be nice if 4-bed rooms would have an extra desk and a chair. Housekeeping ladies were nice, polite and gave us extra instant coffee. On the New Year's Eve day, there was a gift from the hotel for all guests - traditional Dutch donuts and prosecco. The hotel is dog friendly. All of the receptionists were so very polite and friendly during our staying - that and cleanliness is something I will remember this hotel by.

Room at the front with lovely view of the old town hall. But disadvantage is the noise in the nights on the weekends. Despite an excellent location the hotel is situated next to ‘bar street’ in Zeist. Rooms are spacious but no fridge. Towels need upgrading. Had a few drinks in the Grand Cafe downstairs and was unable to charge this to room. Had to go upstairs to collect purse. Not guest friendly. Very sp**** on coffee and tea in room. Had to ask for extra every day. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I booked a 3-day stay at the hotel, and just a week before I was to arrive, it got cancelled because there ”was an error in processing my payment”. It's the exact same card I've been using and has been working just fine. I booked this stay back in august, and up until a week before there's been no problems until they suddenly cancel my stay. That is just less than a week before my stay while they're completely booked up, so I'd have to find another accommodation. There might be a reasonable explanation as to why they couldn't process the payment, but it seems rather weird that the card I'm using, which hasn't had any issues, would be invalid.

Fantastic helpful staff! Fun room with large balcony was better than we imagined. Light and bright. Quiet, comfortable, restful. Great bathroom with tub and large shower. Fruit in the room daily. Situated not far from a train station where we rented bikes. Market and restaurants just steps from the small hotel. Short walk to center of town with plenty of shops along the way. We dined at the hotel. Small portions and wine pours but delicious with a great waitstaff! Would return to this hotel in a heartbeat.

I was planning New Year's trip with friends and while browsing for hotels, Postillion seemed like ”the best bang for your buck”. Originally we booked a room for 3 nights, but because a friend bought our train tickets for a day earlier by mistake, we had to come one day before planned. Fortunately, we arranged everything with the receptionist over a simple phone call and got another room for that extra night (because ”ours” was occupied that night). If you travel by train like us, there is a short 15 minute walk from Bunnik train station to the hotel. The hotel is very clean and tidied up. Rooms have electric kettle and some tea and instant coffee packets, which is very helpful. A nice touch to the room is a bean bag. There is no mini bar, probably because drinking alcohol isn't allowed in the hotel. Bathrooms are a bit small, but if you're staying for a few nights it's okay. It was a little cold in the room, but we read that is a common thing in the Netherlands this winter. It would be nice if 4-bed rooms would have an extra desk and a chair. Housekeeping ladies were nice, polite and gave us extra instant coffee. On the New Year's Eve day, there was a gift from the hotel for all guests - traditional Dutch donuts and prosecco. The hotel is dog friendly. All of the receptionists were so very polite and friendly during our staying - that and cleanliness is something I will remember this hotel by.

Fantastic helpful staff! Fun room with large balcony was better than we imagined. Light and bright. Quiet, comfortable, restful. Great bathroom with tub and large shower. Fruit in the room daily. Situated not far from a train station where we rented bikes. Market and restaurants just steps from the small hotel. Short walk to center of town with plenty of shops along the way. We dined at the hotel. Small portions and wine pours but delicious with a great waitstaff! Would return to this hotel in a heartbeat.
