Resort was half full and still there was two nights when we had to use room service because the four restaurants were full. There wasn't enough chairs around the pool so had to get up early to claim one. The food in general was very mediocre and a couple of meals were inedible. Thr marketing team has you sit and go over their point system for future stays. Not what we wanted to do after traveling. Request that this be done after you settle in. Make sure you understand the the airport transfers as it's a separate reservation that needs to be made prior to your travel. The transfers are free only if you stay four or more days and book your stay on the Sun Palace website.

Absolutely wonderful resort! Just the right balance of everything. Comfortable beach side lounging, a selection of crazier or quieter infinity pools, and drinks poured generously! The staff were super friendly, attentive, and absolutely wonderful to interact with. Super modernized property and rooms overall!! Perfect place if you're looking to lounge and unwind.

When researching a place we weren't particularly "wowed" by the pics or anything. However, the reviews were excellent and well deserved! Many places can wow you with pictures but in person they disappoint. Sun Palace was the first time we experienced the opposite. The resort is nicer in person that you would think from the pics. It's not brand new but very well maintained and not outdated. Super clean! You always see staff cleaning random things around the resort that many places don't pay attention to. Everyone was very polite. They have some of the salespeople you experience at resorts like this but not much and nobody was pushy. Food was good - we liked Fuego best. They do now take dinner reservations, so be sure to download the app and book dinner for each night asap for best times. The beach is very nice but was too rough for swimming during our stay. Some large rocks here and there but nothing crazy - just adds some interest in my opinion. We've been to many resorts and this is the first time we want to go back to the same place instead of trying somewhere new.

I didn’t like the cost of massages, excursions and other stuff you could use credits for. When you book an all inclusive you think a lot of that stuff would be included. Also most cooks weren’t wearing gloves. I did love the great custom service and how clean rooms were. Didn’t really get to eat anything but the Mexican restaurant because everything was booked. Should allow guests to make a reservation before they get there like I tried to do but was denied.

Very clean - staff very helpful and very friendly- always smiling! Very accommodating when we returned late from an excursion - and we were not ready for our dinner reservation - gave us 30 minutes to change and make it back which was very welcoming after a long day out We asked about the VIP perks but were offered another hotel tour with benfits which we weren’t really interested in at the time of arrival.

As a VIP ******* member we received an upgraded room to an ocean front honeymoon suite. The room was a super large with a big jacuzzi tub. We also received an extended checkout time until 2pm. Be aware the $120.00 resort credit is a bit of a scam. The food was excellent in all 4 restaurants, but if you are here for a week, with only 4 restaurants, you'll be going back twice to some..we didn't mind, but if someone is here for longer than a week, it might be an issue. The beach is fabulous; clean, white sand and fun waves to play in. If you walk down to the south end of the beach there is a little cove where you can snorkel. The resort has three pools. The best pool is reserved for the Palace Diamond members, the pool next to it is in the shade for most of the day. The third pool, the largest is the activities pool, which is loud and has limited seating. We spent our time on the beach which we loved, but if you are a pool person, this resort might not be your best choice. The staff and service were all excellent. Overall a nice experience.

We loved our stay here. Everything was perfect. It was my husband’s birthday and they gave him a bottle of champagne and a piece of cake. We were very impressed. What we didn’t like was the Fuego restaurant. The food was not very good and unfortunately my husband got sick from something he ate there. The Italian restaurant was very good but they should be playing Italian music in the restaurant I think, for ambience. We’d like to return next year for a longer visit. We like the VIP idea but not sure we’d do it again

My wife and I had an absolutely incredible stay at Sun Palace and only wish we could have stayed longer. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable, and the facilities are everything you need for an all-inclusive stay away from home. Plus the app lets you book everything you need from your phone. Each room has incredible ocean views, and each of the restaurants had great food. Highly recommend going to Trattoria for the Ossobuco, it was tender and fell off the bone. Only downside was that you’re unable to book restaurant reservations on the app before you check in, and each restaurant requires a reservation for dinner. Some can squeeze you in your first night, but we weren’t so lucky and instead ordered room service, which was delivered quickly and was quite tasty. Already checking our calendars for when we can get back.

Amazing service, great staff, good mixture from young couples to the blue hairs. Each pool had a different scene and energy. Only advise, like all resorts, they’ll try to up-sale you on everything, and check what the resort credits can be used on and for before agreeing to any pitches
