Location is Great. View is fantastic. Rooms and Baths are tidy and all is intact, though both a bit small. Breakfast is adequat. Dinning room clean but not overly atmospheric. Staff is friendly but some of them seem to be not entierly sure what their actual function is. All in all a place where you will be satisfied, nothing more.

We arrived with high hopes having had a lovely stay at their sister hotel in Knysna but were sorely disappointed. I was with a small group tour by Cox & Kings. We arrived mid afternoon and they were not ready for us; took ages to check in. The room (605) was lovely though very noisy because the hotel is on a busy road but there are great views over the city and Table Mountain but the staff leave a whole lot to be desired. They are surly, inefficient and (for the first time anywhere in South Africa) and just unfriendly. Wholly unprofessional in fact. Despite the room information book saying room service was available from 0600 to midnight, it was impossible to get a drink in the evening as the restaurant and bar closed at 8.30! The “swimming pool “ is about the size of a footbath surrounded by a small patch of artificial grass two sun beds and a few chairs. Again no service or towels Definitely not to be recommended and does not deserve to be in the same group as Knysna Hollow The

very convenient location, super-friendly staff, very clean, great AC, great breakfasts. Be sure to go across the street and walk through the Company Gardens and enjoy some green space. They have a shuttle to V&A but it's every 2 hrs so we usually took an Uber as more convenient (very easy to get and well priced).

I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a good place to stay in Cape Town. It’s close to the city centre (with the company’s gardens just outside its entrance!) and table mountain, while its staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms were a good size and very clean too.

The room was classy and hotel design was elegant. And the mountain view from the room was refreshing each day. The hotel staff and service was also good and cooperative. 2 things though : I was there for a week and being a vegetarian there was very limited option in buffet and that too repetitive at times. And secondly, the hotel faces load shedding often but most importantly the guests should be informed prior.

My friend and I stayed here on a 3 night visit to Cape Town. Overall, we had a fairly decent stay. All the staff were helpful, friendly and courteous, especially the women that worked in the breakfast room. The included breakfast was tasty and plentiful with good coffee. Our mountain facing room had a beautiful view of Lion's Head and Table Mountain National Park and it was very clean. The beds were comfortable and had nice linens. However, there were a few issues that made me only able to leave a 3 star review. Their website indicates they offer a 24 hour shuttle service and complimentary transfer to the V&A waterfront. When we asked about these services, they said it was not available. This was one of the reasons we wanted to stay at this hotel. The mountain facing room was noisy late at night making it difficult to sleep. You could hear people in the street and in the park across the street. WiFi connections were very spotty. and one day the WiFi was down all evening. Because of these reasons, I would not stay again when visiting Cape Town as I feel there are better options out there.

This hotel is an absolutely recommendable hotel, in a walkable distance to down town, opposite a beautiful park. The price vs performance ratio is excellent because also the breakfast is outstanding. The cleanness of the room and the overall outfit of the complete hotel together with the kindness of the whole staff is always a reason to come back. The only negative experience was the load daily shedding.
