Festeggiato il mio 48 compleanno a castel monastero il più bel posto dove sia mai andato perfetto pulito efficiente una struttura e in organizzazione davvero impeccabile se le stelle arrivavano a 10 avrei messo 10 un ringraziamento speciale a Filomena e Dina che mi hanno fatto passare un compleanno speciale grazie grazie grazie 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

On my honeymoon across most of Italy, I had my highest expectations for our stay at Castel Monastero. I now refer to it as Castel Disappoin**ent. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our 2 week vacation, but also the worst one of them all. I don’t even know where to being, but I’ll Start with the good: Rooms are big, courtyard area of hotel very pretty, nice pool area, and located in beautiful Tuscany. That’s about it. Prepare to be trapped and price gouged for everything you want or need to do here. The food-sucks. This hotel had the highest priced food in all of Italy and it was the worst Tasting. I had a comparable dish in Ambra which was a 1/4 of the price and twice the size. The waitress at Cantina, recommended a pasta dish, but no amount of salt or grated cheese could remotely save this dish. My entree, consisted of 5 meatballs in a bowl For 34 euro, no pasta, No veggies etc. Olive Garden would’ve been a better tasting Italian dish than this ripoff from cantina. 25 euro for an old fashioned, or Aperol spritz; I Went to a Michelin Star restaurant in Rome and didn’t pay more than 15. The complimentary breakfast was mediocre. The previous 2 hotels we stayed at in Sorrento and Rome, for Half the price, had a much better complimentary breakfast. Now the worst part of our stay: The hotel arranged excursions for us and dinner reservations. We did this wonderful vineyard tour. The hotel arranged for a driver to get us there and back. The vineyard tour was worth every penny at 60 euro per person. The van proceeds to drop us off at the hotel and informs Is that it would be 600,00 euro for the ride…completely ruined our day and our experience at the vineyard. We also needed transportation to our dinner reservation in Ambra which was not even a 10 minute drive away. The hotel informed us they could provide a taxi for 85 euro one way, and then 85 euro to return. So my 10 minute drive to dinner would cost me three times the price of my meal. The staff at the restaurant in Ambra was so baffled by the hotels taxi service that the waitress ended up driving us back to the hotel. In 24 hours at the resort, I spent 1000 euro on transportation to and from The hotel. This is not a 5 star resort, it’s maybe a 4 start but with little amenities, but it’s priced like it’s the worlds best 5 star resort. We ended up Checking out early, eating the cost, and returning to Florence because it was cheaper To find a new hotel and things to do in Florence then be captive to the hotel and their taxi/car service companies in order to do anything. Also, this hotel offers almost nothing to do. None of the packages or excursions or rentals are on site. You get a pool, tennis court, and comp breakfast…that is it. No water, no mini fridge, no iron. The internet pictures are deceiving, the property is much much smaller than it appears. Didn’t ruin my honeymoon, but definitely soured a couple days it that we won’t be able to get back. Avoid this place at all costs,

El lugar se encuentra lejos y apartado de todo no te ofrecen nada de actividades y te están vigilando todo el día los horarios de los restaurantes no son flexibles y no hay nada cerca de la propiedad para salir a comer. Los de recepción te dan un horario de los restaurantes y llegas al restaurant y dicen que está cerrado. La limpieza de las habitaciones deja mucho que desear. La propiedad es muy bonita y podría estar mucho mejor y para el precio que pagas se me hace que no es una experiencia que lo valga

Fiquei supresa quando cheguei lá, era exatamente o que estava buscando na Toscana, ter uma experiência, café da manhã delicioso, atendimento incrível, Moreno foi muito gentil, limpeza do quarto excelente, jantar maravilhoso, E a vista do quarto um belo amanhecer. Super recomendo, lugar tranquilo, intimista e de muito bom gosto. Uma experiência maravilhosa na toscana.

Posto splendido, location spettacolare, ma nel complesso, per organizzazione, servizi e gestione del personale le stelle diminuiscono drasticamente. Attivo solo Un ristorante su due, piscine esterne non riscaldate e spa (peraltro molto piccola) a pagamento. Posacenere vicino alla mia camera sporco per tre giorni senza che nessuno se ne occupasse; ho dovuto chiedere i prodotti da bagno che nessuno si era premurato di sostituire. Sono tutte banalità , ma un 5 stelle lusso queste cose le DEVE garantire. Non so se lo consiglierei ad un amico.

Siamo venuti in questo hotel per 2 notti. Anche se fuori stagione, il posto era bellissimo e offrivano tantissime attività fantastiche. La cena al ristorante era perfetta: qualità altissima dei prodotti e un menu molto equilibrato, che segue sia la tradizione che l’innovazione. La cosa che ci ha sorpreso di più è stata la gentilezza e simpatia delle persone che lavoravano la. Ci hanno aiutato, ci hanno dato consigli e sono stati davvero carinissimi. Fantastico il fatto che dalle 15 alle 23 c’è un bar dove puoi ordinare panini, bevande, aperitivi, ecc. C’è pure una SPA bellissima con una palestra e quando vuoi puoi prenotare un massaggio molto rilassante. È stata un esperienza fantastica e sicuramente ci torneremo nel futuro. Un altro vantaggio di questo posto è che è vicino a tutte le città da visitare: è a soli 40 min da Firenze, 40 min da San Gimignano, 20 min da Siena, ecc. Per cui, qualunque città tu voglia visitare, sei vicino e non devi fare troppa strada.

Wir haben das Hotel über LHW gebucht; es erfüllte in kleinster Weise die Kriterien, die ein (Luxus)-Hotel erfüllen sollte:u.a.: — die Aussenpools (ungeheizt )waren gg 18.00 verwaist, es gab keine Handtücher , auch morgens gg 8 Uhr dasselbe Bild —der geheizte Innenpool war „ übermagnetisiert“ und die Fliesen rund um das Becken waren mit Tüchern abgedeckt, angeblich, weil Rutschgefahr besteht. —die Suite war dunkel und zusätzlich noch abgedunkelt: das Fenster gg dem Safe war abgehängt und zudem völlig verdreckt —der Service beim Frühstück war selbst für italienische Verhältnisse äußerst rustikal,schwerfällig , unambitioniert und nur schwer auf englisch erreichbar ,der Kaffee sollte selbst (!) geholt werden,die Brotauswahl war extrem eingeschränkt und das bestellte Omlett eine fettige gustatorische Zumutung —der Bewertungsbogen bestand aus einem schlecht kopierten D A4 Bogen, nicht anonymisiert und mit ZimmerNr. versehen, —das alles als adäquat für ein 5 Sterne Resort für 720€ /Tag anzusehen ist —auch im direkten Vergleich mit den davor und danach von uns besuchten Hotels— ist völlig unangemessen . Eine realitätsnaehere Darstellung der Gegebenheiten hätte uns diese Erfahrung ersparen können.

we just got back from a backroads hiking trip. this was the hotel they used for their premiere package. unfortunately, this hotel was subpar in many ways. the rooms, though large, are so poorly lit, we had our iphone light on just to see. the air conditioning was turned off because of the change of season. unfortunately, our room, on the second floor was boiling hot. the only way to get it to cool off was to have a oscillating fan brought up from the front desk and keep the windows open all night. bugs and noise galore, and still uncomfortable. the front desk staff was condescending and rude for the most part. breakfast is supposed to be ready to go by 7:30. nope, not so much. 7:45 to 8 most days. the highlight was the bar and the bartender, who was just the best. i would not have chosen this hotel but it was part of our package, so we suffered through.
