Castle Bromwich Hall, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

The cleanliness wasn’t too bad apart from the black mild patches in the bathroom . The walls of the room could do with a repaint. I have mobility issues and found the bath too high to step into, there were no grab handles in the shower over bath , which made getting in and really difficult getting out of the shower. Room 602 I found was very noisy, people coming into the room above. The front door made a lot of noise hitting the wall which the bed head is against. A lot of noise coming from people going up and down the stairs, once in the room I could hear every foot step and bathroom noise. Floor boards in room above extremely noisy.

This was an excellent stay, at a very good price. We opted for the superior room, but do not think there is really much difference. All the staff are friendly, and really helpful. A brilliant stay, and about 15 minutes from the NEC. We will stop here next time.

The hotel was ok. Customer service wasn’t great. Did feel a total inconvenience being there except too the two lovely staff on breakfast. Did have an issue where the bedside table was so sloppy which I didn’t realise until I put my pint down and it just slid off. Soaked the duvet which was then a major inconvenience to get replaced. All in all. Not great.

Having lived close to Castle Bromwich for many years a long time ago i had little knowledge of it and never visited. What a wonderful experience it was in such an historic building. Very friendly staff lovely breakfast choices all served by Peter especially who was so knowledgeable and offered tours of the place. Obviously because of it's status not everything should be modern and shiny so it may not be for everyone.

Fantastic location and building impressive. The reason for the OK rating is because I was not in the main building but a separate building equally impressive, however the network connection was poor to non at all (the main building was high speed) and as I was on a business trip I need the connectivity. The second issue was the room was set up for disabled access which again fantastic, large entry door accessible bathroom configured as a wet room including a seat for showering, however the floor was not non slip and therefore having a shower was tricky as the floor was extremely slippery and no non slip mats provided

Lovely original building. Decor is very dated and a little tired. Super clean though. The member of staff at breakfast was an absolute delight, sadly didn’t catch her name. Nice breakfast offerings. Comfortable beds.

Guests park right next to bedrooms. No double glazing so avoid nights when events take place and guests aren’t staying. Had to ask people to be quiet twice. Interrupted sleep. First time I have been served breakfast by someone in a hoodie

This looked nothing like the photos on the booking website. The room was dirty and needing some serious love and care. Paper thin walls meant I could hear the neighbours TV all night, no black out blinds, bed sheets that do not even fit the bed, a shower door that can't close. Church bells ringing constantly from around 1900 hrs to 2100 hrs.
