基爾羅南城堡酒店及水療中心(Kilronan Castle Hotel & Spa)

Very impressive hotel with castle furnishings and paintings throughout the hotel. The restaurant onsite offered excellent breakfasts. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was large with a full bathroom and an area with a desk and chair. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet for sleeping! We only stayed one night but it warrants a few nights stay to really see all of the hotel!

I have to say my over-all experience of Kilronan Castle was under-whelming. I don't know if I expected too much given the reputation. But my expectations were not met! First off having to walk through the restaurant where people eat to get to the elevators was quiet embarrassing and not a good start! We got to our room, it was fine. Nice furniture to enhance your feeling of being in a castle. The bed was very comfortable. But the shower was filthy with soap-scum and the large showerhead sprayed water onto the ceiling, which in-turn fell down on you in cold drips. Small things like no pen in the room, we asked for a shoe-shing kit at reception(which I nearly expect in a hotel room in 2023) and they didn't have any and wasn't offered any solution either! I was flabbergasted! Breakfast was fine, we were first down on our first morning, and even being there that early(7am) some of the breakfast items were cold and sausages a little pale for my liking. The dinner we had at the wedding that night - the vol-au-vent was lovely and so was the soup, but the mains were only OK, the beef was very tough. Given the prices that they charge, I think this is scandalous! Most staff were friendly - especially the man in reception when we checked in. But I certainly won't be hurrying back - such a pity as this was to be a treat for us after a bad year and it wasn't inexpensive.

My partner and I stayed for two nights in this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly faces on reception with a warm welcome. We stayed in the Turlough O’Carolan Suite with amazing views over the gardens and lake. The room made you feel like you had stepped back in time with the decor appropriately done to feel like a real Castle Stay. Both Restaurants, Palm Court & The Douglas Hyde Fine Dining were excellent, the service fantastic and food amazing. The Spa is a must to try and beautiful walking trails around the grounds. The best part of this mini break was the staff, from Reception, House Keeping, Spa the Restaurant & Bars all had excellent people skills, so welcoming and down to earth. Would return again for the staff alone. Well done to all.

What a lovely, magical place! The grounds are beautiful, the staff are exceptional, the food is amazing, and the service is top notch! There was some confusion with our reservation, and the staff were intent on making it right. It worked out wonderfully and it was our favorite place to stay during our week-long holiday. We just wish we could have planned to stay longer!

We enjoyed a really lovely Sunday lunch, wonderful products confidentifally transformed in to beautiful food and flavours. Would have liked the main course to be piping hot but understand adding on the lovely garnishes etc. can cool the food to warm. Similiar hotels also have better "finished" bathrooms, paper towels, hand lotion small posie would be nice, just to give it the luxury castle feel, but if it is a "green" policy maybe put up a guest notice. We look forward to a return visit, and an overnight stay to try the tasting menu. Compliments to all the friendly staff and the very talented kitchen!

We had such a wonderful, memorable time. The staff at the spa were friendly and efficient. We spent some time relaxing before our facial and massage and it was all amazing. Our room was in the castle and we had the most marvellous view from the window. In the morning we could hear the birds and see the sunshine on the lake. Our dinner was really delicious; I had the duck entree and it was scrumptious. My husband had beef for his main and he absolutely loved it. My rhubarb dessert was a little underwhelming but the mille feuille was lovely. Our whole anniversary experience was delightful. We would definitely return.

Just spent three fantastic nights down in Kilronan Castle. It was SO relaxing, it was the perfect place for a break. Everything was just right: great food, wine, rooms and grounds. The spa is superb. But best of all was the service and their staff, so efficient and friendly. We cannot wait to go back.

Beautiful Castle lovely ambience and receptionist friendly on check in.I found the room a bit faded and bathroom very dated and shabby.Breakfast was fabulous and staff exceptional.Spa trea**ent again bit shabby steam room out of order and some of the jets not working.The girl I booked the trea**ent with was friendly but sorry to say the staff on following day was not.Found her a bit rude and no tea or sorbet following our bath.Pity some staff let place down

Attended my nephews wedding here last weekend. What an amazing venue and the staff, hotel and food were top class. Hotel gas so many different rooms and places to relax. Spa area is so relaxing with beautiful lighting. Excellent venue for a wedding or a relaxing getaway. Can’t wait to go back here again .
