卡羅琳之家酒店(Casa Carolina)

Wir hatten Zimmer Nr. 6, etwas spartanisch eingerichtet, also nur das Nötigste. Das Zimmer ist nicht sehr gross und es könnte mit einigen Kleinigkeiten etwas gemütlicher eingerichtet werden. Das Badezimmer ist beim genauer Hinsehen etwas renovationsbedürftig! Da das Zimmer zur Gasse liegt, ist es sehr laut in der Nacht. Das Frühstück eher mittelmässig. Freundlicher Empfang zwar, schönes Haus, gute Lage. Würde mich also eher weiter umschauen!

Excellent location, 3-5 min walk from Lello bookstore, Igreja do Carmo and Torre dos Clerigos. About a 15 min walk to Cais da Ribeira and so much to see as you make your way down. This mini hotel ( or B&B) is well maintained, spacious rooms and nice breakfast. Staff is very pleasant, special shout out to Helio from Brazil who gave us great service and was very polite. The only issue we had is that our room was located in the 4th floor and wood stairs are a bit noisy, on the day we checked out we left at 6 am and we had another guest came out of their room upset with us because of the noise from the stairs. However this was a small thing and expected with very old buildings in Europe. I'd recommend this property 100%

Perfect location in Porto and such a friendly place. Just a few minutes walk to the centre. We had a lovely spacious room (room 1) on the first floor with quality finishings and comfortable bed and nice balcony. The staff were so friendly and welcoming especially Haidi who welcomed us when we arrived and the breakfast ladies were lovely.

The location of the hotel is very good - within walking distance of the river and major attractions, but on a pedestrian only street in a lively and interesting area with many coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is converted from a rather grand period town house with huge rooms with balconies with French windows. Breakfast is served in what would have been the cellar with garden and indoor seating. An excellent cold buffet is provided and eggs will be cooked to order if required. The staff are friendly and helpful. Management are not on site at all times as there is a sister hotel nearby, but they are contactable by telephone and entry is by keycode so you can come and go as you like. Hotel arranged airport pick up for us. Can highly recommend this hotel.

This was a perfect base to explore Porto. Casa Carolina is located only a short walk from the rail station [5 - 10 mins] and having initially walked past the door to the guest house [it wasn't particularly well signed], we were warmly welcomed. The rooms were large, spacious and clean and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Breakfasts were super, pre ordered on arrival and freshly cooked. Our final morning we left very early and a take away breakfast was prepared for us. All in all a terrific stay!

We stayed here for a week as a couple. Very relaxing comfortable stay. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice and it filled you up for the day ahead. Great location. There other property a hostel is well worth a visit for a meal. Food was excellent.

Perfect location, tastefully decorated property, helpful staff, good communication, good breakfast in their garden and their sister property has a nice bar. Superior room a bit small (but accords with the m2 described), try to go for a larger room if staying there for more than a couple nights. Loved people watching out the window onto Cedofeita.

I was very excited about this hotel from the descriptions on line (superb, luxury), but I have to say that it did not meet my expectations. Good things: renovated, historic building, clean, in a convenient part of town (not the congested inner city but within easy walking distance). Issues: we were on the top floor which was 3 or 4 flights up a twisting wooden staircase, with no elevator. This was a little tough as we weren’t traveling that lightly (we had a baby with us). And there was no AC. Our room faced the street which was quite noisy at night, so we had to close the windows which did block out the noise, but it was stuffy with no AC. There were no amenities to speak of in the room (no fresh water daily, no coffee service, pretty bare bones), and the room wasn’t refreshed every day. Breakfast area was very small and cramped, on the basement level, and the outdoor area was not comfortable (hadn’t been renovated or fixed up and didn’t have comfortable tables). If you stay here, I’d recommend asking for a room that does not face the street and maybe on a lower floor if you have a lot of luggage.

me hospede 3 noches en esa hermosa casa. Habitación muy grande, cómoda y bien decorado. por estar sobre una calle es silncioso. El personal muy amable y servicial que nos espero porque llegamos tarde. Buen desayuno y una muy buena ubucación.
