博福特莊園鄉村小屋(Beaufort Manor Country Lodge)

The rooms were very clean and the staff were very easy to work with. Unfortunately they used an aerosol in the room that was so strong, it wasn't good for the sinuses ;-)

We were warmly welcomed by Vanessa. The manor is set in spectacular gardens, with a lovely pool.The surroundings are peaceful, with a friendly cat.The cottages are gorgeous, we enjoyed sitting on the verandah listening and watching the birds. We would love to go back sometime.

The meal did not live up to its expecting we offered 2 meat dishes on arrival we had to tick which one we wanted. No starters. Very poor as their website states 3 course with more choice. An empty mini bar!! We decided to have breakfast elsewhere as it was not included. Service not great.

We had an overnight stay the rooms are beautiful and that’s where it ends. Small mattresses, definitely not a queen size mattress. No water in the rooms was a huge drawback, as we were unable to shower or brush teeth before our departure. The Braai provided was not value for money. R300 per person was exorbitant, especially as the meat was terribly tough and chicken dry and overcooked. The cheese cake was actually custard in a glass

We spent a night in Beaufort West to break a long road journey, so we weren’t expecting anything “special”. This lodge was tatty, no warm blankets, breakfast was very meager. So the hotel was perfectly sufficient for our needs but expensive for what it had to offer.

Lovely little boutique hotel that is clean and traditional. WiFi works very well and the rooms are comfortable and homely. The staff are very friendly and very inviting. Really appreciate the welcome and looking forward to the next stay. Thank you.

Driving to Hartenbos we came up against Meiringspoort closed due to flooding. A quick search showed Beaufort Manor. Venessa was so professional and helpful. She had us booked in so quickly and welcomed us into a cottage. Was fantastic and will make sure this is a regular stop gor us.

Stayed in two rooms. First room Aircon wasn’t working and temperature outside was 40 degrees. We booked a family room and then we were moved to room where the kids were made to sleep on a mattress on the floor at 9pm right next to noisy kitchen. We notified staff Aircon was not working at 4pm. Both rooms the bathrooms were filthy. Second room the shower head wasn’t working. It has potential to be beautiful but needs maintenance. Staff friendly. Found management disappointing and not helpful at all. We do this trip twice a year. Wouldn’t go back.

They do not cater for special needs. They also do not communicate from the one day to the next. So we had to leave without breakfast also could not warm my baby bottle in the basin because the basin plug does not have a rubber in so the water just drain out. I had to use a shower cap. Oh yes the lady at the front desk said I am more than welcome to leave a bad review for them. Maybe it is because she does not know how bad a bad review is for your business and it is not her business so she does not care.
