麥可梅那敏斯奧林匹克俱樂部(McMenamins Olympic Club)

Nice, eclectic property! Very unique! Our only complaint - the main line of the BNSF Railroad runs behind the property. All night long, there are train whistles since there is a crossing not far away. There was no indication from ******* or the hotel that this was a condition for staying there. I worked for a railroad for 10 years, so I didn't mind, but my wife was not happy!

What a unique, interesting place to stay—with a ton of character. The rooms had walls covered with historical descriptions of the original characters who frequented and ran the Oly Cub, which really gave you a sense of what it was like “way back when.” I wasn’t sure what to expect from the shared bathrooms, but they kept everything super clean and there were many so I never had to wait to use one.

McMenamins Olympic Club in Centralia, Washington, was the perfect place to stay when we got off the Coast Starlight train. We loved its historic vibe and convenience to restaurants and stores.

This is a fun place to stay in a town that does not have many options. Location is great.

I came in on Amtrak, and the location, right across the street from the Amtrak station, was perfect for me. Historical old building, i'll be staying there again on future travels.

It was a intresting experience but I wouldn't recommend it. The building was very cool and it was clean but if your looking for a nice relaxing stay as I was it wasn't my cup of tea.

Fun vibe, friendly staff. Audrey at the front desk was a standout!

Very interesting property. Was put off by the thought of shared bathrooms, but they were plentiful and spotless. It worked out better than expected.

Most of the staff was really great but we ending up leaving the same night instead of staying over. If you are staying at the hotel, it would seem like the bartender would want to serve you. It didn’t feel that way. They seemed really put off that they had to “take all the glass wear out of the dishwasher” and it’s like, yeah you are a bartender that is open for a whole hour later than when we sat down. It really seemed like we ruined their night. They made us two Blanton’s Old Fashioneds and forgot the simple syrup and the bitters. So they poured an already diluted drink back into the vessel with more ice but went crazy with the bitters but it still didn’t get the simple syrup in there. They were the worst Old Fashioneds we have ever had at a Mcmenamins. One of the reasons we like the company is because the bartenders know how to properly make a cocktail. Blanton’s is an expensive bourbon that was almost $20 a drink. I feel like as a bartender you have two jobs; make good drinks and make your customers feel welcome. They did neither. It really put a sour on the whole experience and we felt so unwanted we didn’t finish our drinks and just drove back home. This was the fifth Mcmenamins we have stayed at, and considering everything, we will probably just stay somewhere less historic and more friendly the next time we have a romantic getaway.
