The Andover Inn is beautiful! Turns out it is an inn on the property of Phillips Academy, an exclusive high school, on which there is also an important art gallery and acres of land with very old trees in the historic district of town. The inn is very charming. I loved this place!

Very disappointing. On arrival discovered that the restaurant was closed for 2 days and breakfast was not available at all for the 3 days that I was there. Room was not serviced, there wasn’t even any water left in the room. I was informed this was due to severe staff shortages. Due to the high price and the very misleading website I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Such a shame because the hotel has so much potential.

Everything was relatively nice. I would’ve liked room service…I left all of my towels on the floor and the service sign on my door. I was gone all day and came back to everything as it was, which was disappointing. These were very pricey rooms for what they were…room service would’ve made it worth it, but now I’d say I overpaid.

We haven't stayed here since before the pandemic. We come up to visit family. The room we had was quite spacious and well-appointed. The main lobby has a gas fireplace but it's not a place that really invites lounging. Staff is all very friendly. The bar is not to be missed, thanks to Alex, the bartender! He is friendly and charming. And skip dessert while you're out and have the warm chocolate cake and a cocktail at the bar while you chat with Alex.

We immensely enjoyed our stay at the newly renovated Andover Inn. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed as royal guests by the Inn’s attentive staff and manager extraordinaire Brian. Thanks to Brian’s impromptu American history talk, we learned about the notable guests who visited the Inn and the illustrious history of Phillips Andover Academy. Brian also made our visit most memorable by suggesting we visit the nearby Addison Gallery. Highly recommend, the superbly managed Andover Inn.

Very nice, spacious room, friendly and helpful staff, close to downtown Andover and the Academy campus. Excellent place to stay when visiting the area.
