Excellent B&B situated within easy walking distance of the town centre. Very comfortable room, lovely breakfast and wonderful hosts who made us feel like house guests rather than customers. Little touches like fresh flowers and fresh milk in the room really make a difference. Highly recommended.

Made to feel so welcome definitely well looked after. The property was clean and tidy and offered great facilities for our weekend. The breakfast was the best 😊 Overall a super stay and would definitely recommend.

This guest house is clean quiet and in a very convenient area. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and my wife has delicious gluten free options. The front 1st floor bedroom was very comfortable. There is a small ensuite bathroom. There are no blackout curtains so we were awaken by the first sunlight . There is a small offroad parking area. We had a great stay. Thanks

This was our fourth or fifth stay with Hugh & Jillie and I know it won’t be our last. Returning here is like a home from home, the apar**ent is very comfortable. The large and airy bedroom would be ample space alone but with our own sitting/dinning room, where a freshly cooked breakfast is served, a small kitchen and a bathroom with a shower over the bath we could stay here much longer than a few days if necessary and never feel cramped. Only a 15-20 stroll into town, with a good selection of shops, a lovely museum and a great choice of pubs and restaurants we leave our car parked on the driveway. They are perfect hosts who make us feel welcome, thanks for another wonderful stay, see you again soon I hope.

We had a wonderful stay at Laurel House. We received a warm welcome from Hugh, and the kind hospitality continued throughout our stay. Beautiful accomodation and breakfast. The only downside was that we only stayed for one night - but we'll definitely return!

As soon as we got to Laurel House we were made to feel welcome by our good humoured hosts. We were in the basement apar**ent which has 2 bedrooms, a sitting room, kitchen and bathroom and is beautifully furnished. We only used the main bedroom which is very spacious, has an incredibly comfortable bed and 2 easy church and large TV. The lounge is huge - a very large TV - leather sofa and armchairs and large dining table where we were served a delicious breakfast each morning. The well equipped kitchen was useful. The bath and shower were both excellent. The sitting room and main bedroom both have French doors looking out onto attractively planted shrubs. There is also parking which was much appreciated. Laurel House is about a max 10 min walk to Cheltenham High Street. It's at the opposite end of the town to Montpellier but everything is walkable. We walked to a bus stop by the hospital (about 5 mins away), and got the 99 bus to Gloucester - it puts you off near the cathedral which is well worth a visit, (we paid £5.50 each to do the excellent Guided Tour. The bus fare was around £10 return for two of us. We recommend the Eurasia Restaurant which is minutes away from Laurel House, and particularly The Istanbul kitchen which is a out 15 mins walk away. There's also a very good Londis shop 3 mins from the accommodation. We spent 4 very enjoyable days at Laurel House and would definitely go back.

What a great base for three friends to catch-up in Cheltenham! Jillie and Hugh, our friendly hosts, warmly welcomed us into their lovely, family home. The comfortable, two bedroomed flat was perfect for our needs and the amenities were spot on. The parking space on the drive was much appreciated, along with the shortbread and Kitkats. This well-priced, bed and breakfast was a short walk from the town centre, but if the weather isn’t suitable, a taxi only costs around £6. The tasty and varied breakfast was actually served in the flat dining area and would certainly set you up for a day of shopping, spa trea**ents or even at the races. We enjoyed some retail therapy, browsing both traditional brand stores and the independent chic boutiques of the Montpellier area; dinner at the buzzing Ivy; and cocktails outside No.131, under the fairy lights of the Gin & Juice Garden Bar. A lovely place to stay, very good location, beautiful house and very friendly hosts. Excellent veggie breakfast, we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay :)

This is family run guest house. It is both comfortable and convenient. The bed was comfy and the breakfasts tasty. They served gluten free options too. THANKS
