查爾努克農場酒店(Charnock Farm Motel)

The 3 rooms we used where all dirty. The carpets and bathrooms where filty! Management where not interested in my complaints. I was offered a change of room late at night after traveling all day for 1 night and move back in the morning after. The whole place needs an upgrade. The window in one of the rooms wouldn’t close properly.

Me and my partner stopped at the Charnock Farm for 1 night. The room was excellent and very clean. The surrounding areas were well maintained, the coffee shop staff were friendly. We paid £80 for the night which we thought was great value for money and would definitely stop there again .

I travel each week to the North West and have passed Charnock Farm a lot meaning to stay over as it looked really inviting from the road. I arrived around 6pm and struggled to locate check in. Thankfully I bumped into a really helpful lady who guided me to the bar where I could check in. The bar man was really helpful and courteous with a seamless check in process. He even walked me to my room as it’s a little complicated to explain where it’s located. I arrived into the room and first thing I was was a dead woodlice in the middle of the room. There was also some chocolate crumbs on the carpet too. You could tell the room hadn’t been cleaned. I threw it out the window. I went to the bathroom and there was an unpleasant smell of dank damp. The toilet had hairs on it and was quite dusty. The inside of the toilet had marks on it and was generally filthy. I decided I couldn’t stay at the hotel so decided to seek a refund. I was offered an alternative room which I declined. A refund was given along with many apologies from the bar man who checked me in, Sadly I couldn’t recommend anyone staying here. It’s the pits!

Lovely en suite room overlooking the lake. Super comfy bed, nice sized bathroom. Peaceful location and very polite helpful staff. 2nd time of staying and will certainly use again. Great view over the lake, lovely breakfast at the onsite cafe.

Comfortable room with tea/coffee facilities. My room was apart from the main building and quiet. I was in room 12 which I loved. I stayed two nights from Boxing Day. Prior to that I stayed with my daughter who lives on Buckshaw Village. I couldn’t fault the housekeeping which was excellent.

This is not a farmhouse b and b, nor is it a Premier inn, BUT this is a great place to stay when in west Lancashire. More like Australian accommodation. Huge room. Huge ensuite, a pub on site, plus a cafe, small ponds, birdlife, animals, just a great place. The pub was so busy on the Bank Holiday it sold out of bar snacks, but we sampled the pizza and chicken *****s the next night, and the cafe was the place for amazing breakfast all three mornings. Also the price of the accommodation and food was very very reasonable. Would highly recommend this place to our UK relatives.

Stay here regularly, clean modern rooms, not noisy, close to various places to eat. Tea & coffee provided, an Ironing board if you need it, and a TV, with decent showers in all the rooms (I've tried!)

1st time here for an overnight stay. When we finally found the entrance, check in was easy & we were directed to our room in a new block across the car park. The room was lovely, spacious, clean, modern, with a beautiful bathroom & plenty of hot water. The only slight criticism was the water in the sink did not empty quickly. There were two rooms in the building & a nice touch was the extra towels, tea/coffee & milk left in the entrance hall in case more were needed. The evening meals choice on offer was very basic. We were told by the staff in the cafe that breakfast would be from 7am, despite being advertised at 7.30am. However, they didnt open until 8am which was too late for our pick up taxi, so our breakfast was coffee & biscuits in our room - disappointed! Overall, a great place for an overnight stay but very limited food options.

Stopped here with grandchild on the longest day of the year bought some food for him to feed ducks and fish nice walk round pond on a beautiful warm day. Then had a pint at the Inn at charnock, nice setting didn't eat but will do next time, also one or two shops to look at good time will be back.
