I introduced this beautiful region to my wife and a befriended couple from Denmark and decided to book a 2 nights weekend getaway at the Hotel Val Vignes in St. Hippolyte. The hotel itself is beautiful and so is the location. The service of the frontdesk team and all the employees we encountered is magnificent. We enjoyed every interaction with them. Beeing it pre- and afterdinner drinks, bike rental, wine storage; everything was great, and as mentioned, the staff is superb. The only disappointment was the actual room. We booked the Premium category, but the room didn't look at all as displayed. We had a parking view and the room was just OK. A bummer as it didn't match the overall wonderful experience we encountered at this exceptional hotel. Also, the room cleaning was not up to standard. Dirty towels (we put on the floor) were taken but not exchanged. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel, but we would ensure we will get an appropriate room per booked category when visiting again.

Bel hôtel, bien situé, et qui est un classique du genre Le restaurant attenant est de qualité et mérite qu’on y dîne Il n’y a pas grand-chose à reprocher sauf que la salle du petit-déjeuner est un peu ‘richichi’ et que le choix en termes de breakfast est un peu limité Mais l’accueil est agréable et le café bon et les tables sont recouvertes d’une vraie nappe Il y a dans cet établissement un côté un peu ‘vieillot’ qui a tout son charme Anastasieris le qualifie parfaitement de 'Pittoresque aux odeurs d'antan' Le parking (juste en face) est aisé J'ai toujours aimé cet hôtel J'y retournerai

Un petit bijou cosy et au calme. De jolies chambres de caractère et pleine de charme. Un jardin avec piscine chauffée extérieure, de jolies petites terrasses, et un jacuzzi! Incroyable ce petit hôtel derrière des portes de grange. On se sent à la maison car on sent tout de suite un esprit de famille à la tête de cet établissement. Petit spa aménagé au mieux dans un espace relativement restreint. Mais là encore on y retrouve un lieu convivial et très agréable. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et copieux avec des produits frais de la région servi à l extérieur ou à l intérieur. Parfait! En novembre des travaux seront faits pour y aménager un futur restaurant pour pouvoir y prendre des repas du soir! Quelle bonne idée! Et si la réalisation s effectue dans le même esprit que le reste, alors ce sera un vrai plus. En tous les cas, c est un petit hôtel exceptionnel et cela a été un coup de cœur pour nous

Very clean well-appointed room. The coffee machine didn't work, and the machine downstairs made terrible coffee, undrinkable! The pillows were very uncomfortable, need rectangular pillows. Friendly service. Pictures show everything bigger than it is. Very slow wifi. Great parking.

For a 4 star hotel I was hoping for a bit more when looking at service and food. Too many young unexperienced and too few senior employees in service able to provide the necessary experience and quality e.g. on arrival you are not received by anyone in the reception almost ignoring that you have arrived - untill you say HALLOOO!!! And when asking for roomservice e.g. a refill of soap dispenser it does not happen for 2 days - still empty on day 4 on departure. Dining in the restaurant was partly re-heated food, and not rall e-heatet to the right temperature above 60dg to make sure that it is safe to serve I feel. At breakfast there are no fresh fruits on the buffet, only from tin - come on! And bacon is totally not fried, but boiled, making it not an thing you visit more than one time. I asked for small portion af freshly made ones, which I recommend as a solution. They were good. Spa-area is great, and super nice young people in the right element helping you. It was sometimes too overcrowded with day-visitors I think - noisy. Would love to go back as venue is beautiful - if just a bit more effort was put into the daily work… but that is just me, having high expectations maybe…

During our three week Christmas Market trip to Germany we decided to rent a car for a few days and head to some in France. We left accommodations for a couple of the days til day of as we weren’t sure where we’d want to spend more time, etc. Upon searching one night we found space here and it was a decent distance from both Strasbourg & Colmar and appeared to be relatively new. When we arrived the person at the front desk was very nice, we received a bag of cookies and two drink tickets which we were able to use for some mulled wine. The bar/lounge area was quite comfortable and well decorated. We had booked the last room, one of their quad rooms, which was incredibly spacious.. it was only the two of us but 4 would have had more than enough space. The bathroom was a bit small in comparison but plenty of vanity space to get ready, brand new hair dryer provided, plenty of towels, good sized shower and the water pressure was some of the best i’ve had at a hotel. The bed was very comfortable, there was plenty of outlet space and hangars if you need to hang any clothes. The price was a little higher than we’d usually pay for our B&B hotel stays but with booking last minute and including breakfast we thought it was very reasonable. We actually enjoyed our nights stay so much we asked if there was any availability for another night after breakfast. Unfortunately it was booked but now we know if in the area it’s somewhere we would definitely stay again!
