We stayed here for our son's travel ball tournament. The hotel grounds were clean and inviting. Breakfast was not included, but they do have an on site restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We didn't eat there, so I can't comment on it. The front desk was always friendly and helpful, however the bartender that we were unfortunate to encounter one night ( I believe his name was Mike) was very unfriendly and just plain rude. We stopped at the bar for a drink and there was nobody behind the counter for at least 10 minutes, so my husband walked over to the restaurant and asked if the bar was open. Mike showed up and acted annoyed and bothered, treating us with a condescending attitude. > Our room was clean and looked like it was newly renovated. The layout of the room was unusual, with the window facing the hallway. It felt similar to being within a cabin on a cruise ship. I can't say I liked it, but we only were in the room to sleep, so it wasn’t a significant issue for us. The biggest problem was that rooms in this hotel seem to have no soundproofing. We could hear conversations from people walking in the hallway, even though they they were not speaking loudly. To top that off, one night we had to listen to a long fight that was happening in a room above us. Unfortunately, I can not recommend this hotel.
Beautiful estate for a wedding - inside and out. Wonderful food. Great rooms for events. . Hotel Rooms need a little updating - they look good but, as in all old estates, the little things go wrong and do not get fixed. On a sunny day the grounds are truly memorable.
