Overall good property and lovely time on the lake. Beautiful landscaping and it’s actually kept up well. Best property on Monroe. Hotel staff was exceptionally nice, helpful and considerate. However, No reliable Internet in the rooms, no cellular service in rooms. It’s a known and ongoing issue and with the multitude of options available for internet these days and even in the area, it’s simply a lack of priority and inves**ent. This problem could easily easily be solved with the right money and tech folks. Hot breakfast is inconsistent and somewhat misadvertised. Property is a wonderful amenity to the area, but clearly needs capital inves**ent badly. Not sure the business is even viable doing so, so the current conditions may be as good as it gets. Super sad but love the area, love the lake and the experience, and the fact it is there. If I can afford to be in a digital vacuum (by lack of work or otherwise, choice). I would certainly stay again.

I chose this hotel primarily due to its stunning swimming pool. Upon arrival, however, a disheartening sign at the check-in desk announced the pool's closure for maintenance. I expressed our disappoin**ent to the checki in staff. Throughout the remainder of our stay, I also raised the matter at the check-in counter, in the hopes of receiving some form of compensation for the inconvenience. Additionally, I took the initiative to reach out to the general manager, leaving a total of five messages, yet regrettably, my efforts yielded no results. It is profoundly disheartening, as it strongly suggests an apathetic attitude towards their clientele.

The hotel is at a beautiful location and I am glad for my stay. It is a 25-30 min drive from IU Bloomington campus but allows scenic drive and scenic view of the lake. Worth the price. The room was clean and very comfortable. The hotel is much more elegant from inside than it appears from outside.

WORSTCUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER pool was out of order and we were not informed till after we checked in. Management was not available and when they finally deigned to call back they were very rude. IInternet and phone service not working in the rooms very low water pressure and no hot water

Property was not clean, pool green with algae, service in restaurant was awful.. took 3 hrs for dinner at 530p. Front staff not helpful, never told us there was a complimentary breakfast served, we just stumbled on the room… no signs and nothing in their literature! Will not give you a room #, ask to be with family that was in a suite on 3rd floor but, they put us on the 2nd floor instead?? Waterfall pond is full of muck and sticks, can hardly see fish in it….clean up would go a long way especially since rooms are almost$200./night!! Games advertised are not playable, cornhole.. most bags are empty and cannot be used! Hard to believe it is a state park inn!! Definitely needs a major clean up!! Guess they make their money off the marina… but, should consider their guest also!!!!!!

Nice quiet place on the beautiful Lake Monroe , the grounds are lit up at night and very pretty , boats and kayaks available onsite and a very nice beach - hotel is just a little outdated but clean and comfortable - we will go again

It was worn out dark and carpets is really bad conditions , the breakfast was below basic

The property was beautiful! Our room had a balcony looking out over the lake. Our issue was that we did not have any hot water! There was no hot water on Saturday night. When we asked about the hot water we were told that you have to let it run for a while. We did and there was still no hot water. On Sunday morning we had no hot water we asked about it again and when no one seemed to be able to fix the problem we decided to check out. The staff were very nice and the view was stunning but i was not ok with not having a hshower.

I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The location is absolutely beautiful, especially the lakeside view. The Lakeside King room is very spacious, comfortable and best of all did not feel like an average corporate-type hotel room at all. Very clean top to bottom. Overall a great experience.
