Where to begin... the smell in the main hallway was atrocious, like feces, the ice machine did not work, there was no soap in the laundry dispenser, there was no bottled water in any of the vending machines, our fridge didn't work, there was no hot water in our shower and the last straw was when the manager cleaned up the breakfast bar at 8am when it was advertised as 6-9. People don't go to a Super 8 for the amenities, they use a Super 8 because of budget restraints. But we still expected the basic services to be working and available. In this case, when the issues were presented to the manager, all he did was apologize and say, "If you had brought to to my attention, I could have taken care of it." We did!! several times and it 's not our responsibility to let you know things don't work! It's your responsibility as the manager to make sure the advertised services are ready and waiting for the customer. Usually, I can count on a Super 8 to be as advertised, not here. You only get one chance to make a good first impression and this staff blew it. We were tired and had been on our motorcycle since Illinois, we needed a hot shower cold bottle of water and to do our laundry. We didn't get any of it.
