哥倫布北極星凱悦嘉軒酒店(Hyatt Place Columbus Polaris)

I am a nurse traveling and visited Columbus for 1day relaxation getaway. Went to check out from hotel and car was stolen from the handicap parking spot closest to the hotel door. 2 different guest told staff that it looks like car was being stolen and did nothing nor reported to police. And told me this information when I said my car was stolen and said they didn’t know for sure and was told by other hotel staff to wait till morning and tell guest the car probably was stolen. Horrible experience and lack of accountability to follow up once staff was aware that car was being stolen. Belongings were stolen and delayed me getting back home.

The hotel would have easily been a 5 star except for the AC unit. It was ungodly loud and kept me up all night long! As soon as I’d drift off it would click and then start blowing at the level of a jet engine. I’d have to turn up the tv volume 5 clicks to hear it when the AC turned on. Next day bought ear plugs and all was good.

Nicely maintained, very clean, all laminate and tile floors in the rooms, friendly staff, lots of patio space and chairs to relax. My only complaint would be the quality of food at breakfast. Lots of options that I didn’t try, but the sausage and eggs were typical tasteless hotel food, yogurt was grainy and runny. A variety of creamer would be nice as well. Overall, we loved our stay and will choose it again when we are back in the area.

We had a terrible experience and I even let the manager know about it when he reached out for feedback and never got a response. The fire alarm went off after 9pm and there was complete panic because it was also badly storming and people didn’t know if it was fire or tornado or what. The only reason we found out it was nothing was because after 5 minutes in the stairwell because it was pouring rain I called the front desk and they said “oh it’s nothing if there was an emergency we would have made an announcement”. Okay, well seems pretty dumb you didn’t make an announcement to say there was no emergency….. thanks. Then breakfast was literally the worst I’ve ever seen. We came down at 8 and there wasn’t even fruit in the basket. The only thing left was make your own waffles, there were no plates, no silverware and no cups. There was literally a hotel guest going back to the kitchen grabbing items for people and trying to restock. It was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. If it was a cheap hotel I wouldn’t have expected a good breakfast but one of the reasons I picked the Hyatt was because they usually have a decent breakfast. This was just a absolutely terrible. Overall because of those two things I will not book a Hyatt again.

There was a water main break at 8:00 AM and the hotel had no water, so no showering, no brushing teeth, no washing face, etc... They did still have the buffet so that was good. I get that it is out of hotel's control, but what is in their control is giving a partial refund or voucher for another stay, which they didn't do. The staff just stood around staring at the ground hoping people would just check out and leave.

The walls were extremely thin. We could hear both rooms on either side of us until 11:30 pm and the noise coming above us lasted through 4 in the morning. We didn’t sleep at all. People were stomping around, slamming doors, flushing the toilet and yelling and screaming. It was so loud. Just zero sound proofing. It was such a disappoin**ent because the hotel was beautiful and the staff was great but I would likely not stay again because we couldn’t get any sleep with how terrible the sound proofing was.

Shampoo dried my hair out, bring your own. Only complaint. Front desk was helpful, very clean, kids loved indoor pool. Great price for two nights and had a family of five. One lady gave us ideas to see art. Front desk was very friendly.

Great new property. I recommend staying here. Only thing that could be better was the breakfast. Eggs, potatoes and sausage wasn't very good. The smaller items like breads/toasts and fruit was fine. It's included as part of your nightly rate. We'll be back.

Newer more modern hotel. Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast buffet was VERY plentiful and the area to eat was open and spacious. Overall positive stay!!!
