Definitely wanna stay again before it gets sold. Amazing hotel and even more amazing staff.

Hôtel propre et correct. Un peu cher ceci dit. Le petit déjeuner anglais a l'air d'être apprécié de ces derniers mais je n'ai vmt pas aimé (question d'habitude culinaire). Le déjeuner continental est aussi à disposition mais relativement limité. Ceci dit on trouve son bonheur. Litterie et chambre correctes mais il serait temps de refaire le châssis tjs simple vitrage en 2023. Les chambres sont spacieuses et l'environnement alentour est sympa.

Was invited to a family wedding at Ansty Hall. And before the ceremony there was bar open for pre drinks. The menu states one price and you get charged another - service charge that you are not asked if you would like to pay ! 4 single gin and tonics £44 ! It’s a massive rip off. Nowhere on the drinks and food menu states there is a service charge . Why charge so much for drinks when making money on the hotel rooms and wedding venue. This place would attract more to stay if you wasn’t ripped off with food and drink.

We went for afternoon tea and it was disappointing. The main entrance to the hotel is lovely and we were greeted warmly. Within a few moments one of the waiting staff showed us to our table which was in a room with no one else in and it didn’t feel like a dining room at all. There was no music and it all felt very strange. Within a few minutes the waitress greeted us and we ordered our tea. The tea came swiftly. It wasn’t loose leaf tea, as advertised, but tea bags and there weren’t any pretty tea cups, as advertised but the usual hotel white crockery. After about 20-25 mins our afternoon tea arrived, I did get the feeling they weren’t expecting us, even though we had to book two days in advance. The waitress was super lovely and as were other members of staff. We started eating the sandwiches but there was one we couldn’t work out what it was, we mentioned this to the waitress who took it off to the chef. When she bought it back 🥴 she said the chef said that it was a thin layer of egg mayonnaise ! We explained that we had eaten the egg mayonnaise so it couldn’t be that ! She did offer more sandwiches or scones but we declined. The rest of the tea was ok. The scones were very crispy and a bit heavy and the small cakes were ok. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the whole experience. For £35 per person plus 10% service charge. we were expecting it to be so much better.

Absolutely love the refurbished public areas and the new overall look and feel. I think its been taken over as there has clearly been a lot of money spent on it. The staff were all lovely and friendly. I had dinner in the new restaurant and the food was really great.

Walking in the main building it is well presented with oak panelling, well polished and characterful. We were met politly and allocated rooms promptly. The room we had was of a good size with all the amenities one would expect. The bathroom was clean and well presented although it would benefit from an update. We had our evening meal in a side room which had an 18 centuary charm. The food was excellent and the waiting staff very helpful. At Breakfast we were presented with a good choice and lots of hot tea and coffee. The only downside the price of drinks. I saw a comment from the management that the prices were on par with other top end venues. Well I would say catering for weddings and the like you also have to consider the likley mixed affluence of your clientelle. Consider this when making your booking. That aside I score this venue as very good.

I booked afternoon tea’s for a few family members, as a part of their Christmas presents. From the second they walked through the front door, they received nothing but 10/10 service and attention from the staff. The new refurbishment is absolutely beautiful, the restaurant was a warm and inviting setting. It was a very enjoyable experience, a box of extra afternoon tea items was brought home also, it was worth every single penny! The team are a credit to this hotel. We will be back for sure.

Stayed here May 24 on a Saturday night. Check in was easy in a nice spacious reception. We were given room 1 that had nice views out of the front of the hotel. Upon getting into the room, I tried to open the windows as the hotel was very hot and stuffy, one of the windows did not stay open so had to wedge a box in the window to keep it open. The room was spacious but dated, gaps in the ceiling paper, bouncy floorboards that were noisy, you could hear other rooms with people walking around. The room door rattled when the corridor doors were opened so it sounded like someone was coming into the room every time someone moved through the corridor. Bed was comfy and well made. Lots of nice additions including chocolate and crisps, Bathroom was not very clean with parts missing from the shower door, the bathroom needed more detailed cleaning in the corners. Lack of plugs for the modern traveller. The marble top on top of the toilet was shattered with mastic used to try and fix it leaving sharp edges. The shower water pressure was an issue at times slowing to a dribble. The room opposite had left the room service remains in the corridor and wasn’t picked up for several hours resulting in a smelly corridor. We ate in the restaurant which was beyond frustrating due to the menu on the website not being the same as in the restaurant, although the restaurant was nice and new the menu was small with small serving and a large price tag. On leaving we left something in the room, we attempted to contact the hotel via phone for 40 minutes with no answer, had to email in the end.

We arranged for a celebration of life at Ansty Hall. The room was beautifully set up with access to the garden area. The staff were attentive and very efficient. The afternoon tea was amazing, tasty sandwiches catering for vegetarian and vegan, cakes looked like works of art. Plenty of tea, speciality teas and coffee. We stayed overnight, comfy bed, nice room. Breakfast was another lovely meal, with lots of choice.
