瑪農勒斯套房古斯米登酒店(Manon les Suites Guldsmeden)

Sicuramente il posto è molto bello e suggestivo ma il servizio non si può definire un cinque stelle. Camere e zona piscina pulita, tutto molto particolare e grazioso, ragazza al bar della piscina molto brava e gentile; alla reception storia diversa, sembravano quasi scocciati a risponderti. Per non parlare del ristorante, siamo stati a pranzo, locale sporco, disorganizzati, cibo non particolarmente buono, conto sbagliato ed inoltre passavano con i pattumi accanto ai tavoli mentre pranzavamo. Peccato perché le camere e la zona piscina sono indiscutibilmente belle e particolari così come in genere tutto lo stile dell’hotel.

The hotel is decorated with wild animal heads and the rooms and alivatore have animal skin on the wall. The hotel doesn't mention this on their website but advertise as eco-friendly. The energy is similar to sleeping in a cemetery. Non of this information is on the website and if you make a booking but change ur mind after seing this animal cemetery, you won't get any of your money back. The concept of this hotel is unconcevable sick and the stuff is inconsiderate and not helpful. We stayed there for 5 minutes and it felt like an experience from hell. 300€ / night. Any complaint will be dismissed. Do not book. The energy of this place is just death and cruelty.

We had booked a New Year's eve stay including a poolside dinner with a set menu & wine menu. The pool area is nice as the pictures show, and the room (suite with terrace) was as expected, except we didn't have the view of the lakes that had been shown in the pictures when we booked, so that was a bit disappointing. The New Year's menu, however, was completely not up to the level that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. There was no red thread in the menu, which consisted of a number of (very small) dishes that seemed to have been randomly grouped together to form a menu. The waiters would drop of the food & wine with no explanation of what it was and there was a total confusion among the staff which led to multiple guests (not just us) missing out on parts of the wine menu. In addition, I had informed the hotel a month ahead of time that I didn't drink alcohol and asked if they could do a juice menu or similar instead. When showing up for the dinner, noone seemed to know about this and the waiter's only idea was a coke. That's disappointing when you're paying for the full wine menu! All in all too expensive to pull off a completely disorganized New Year's dinner & stay experience.

We stayed here back in July. To start with, the other reviews that talk about this as being an ‘Instagram’ hotel are completely accurate. The reception area is tiny, dark and cramped. Staff are disinterested and unhelpful. It took us half an hour to check in because there was one person working the desk. This hotel is centred on the pool area, which is where the ‘Instagram’ tag comes in. Also, beware the ‘adults-only’ description - we assumed this would mean it was a peaceful, quiet hotel. How wrong we were. On one of the nights we were there, an orgy was taking place in the room next to us. The walls in this hotel are paper thin, believe me. We could hear all of the participants, clear as day. We saw people coming and going, as we went back and forth to reception - by this time, practically begging them to do something about it. I’ve never encountered such poor staff as in this hotel. They made no effort to ask the guests in question to stop making so much noise (despite telling us later that they had). We know this, because at one point, the guy on reception said he’d been up to the room and couldn’t hear anything, therefore it must have stopped. When we were literally sitting there having to listen to it! Eventually, the best they could do was offer us another room for the night. Incredibly, in the room we moved to, there were also loud noises coming from next door (albeit of a different kind - this was like someone moving furniture around). We banged on the wall to no avail. Bearing in mind this was nearly 3am and we had to be up at 7am. We eventually went back to our original room, out of desperation. By which time the orgy had stopped. When we checked out of the hotel, we asked for a refund for this night. We were told to email them instead (the theme of rude, unhelpful staff continued). I am only writing this review now, because I thought I would at least give the hotel the chance to atone and refund us for the night in question. But no…they are insisting they did everything they could, and are only refunding us for 50% of that night (along with an offer of a 15% discount for a future stay…as if that’s ever going to happen). I have gone back and forth with them constantly, and I am going to continue doing so until I get in touch with someone who will refund us the remaining 50% of that dreadful night. Let this review serve as a warning to anyone thinking of staying here who values a decent night’s sleep, respectful staff and respectful fellow guests.

Manon has a certain ambition and are likely trying to compete with d'Angleterre. However, not even close. Friendly and attentive staff is not enough to create what's needed to become a true five star venue. It is probably good for instagram junkies, but for business travellers it has quite a long walk achieve five stars. At least from me.
