Worst experience in my life, genaral manager is very impolite his attitude is so arrogant and haughty. The management should make something if they don’t want to loose clients. Really a bad experience i will never come back. Moreover they have a stupid policy about smoking, there isn’t any smoking area inside the hotel.

They literally charged us $25 to check in an hour early. We had to ask for soap, towels and shampoo. The bathtub was disgusting, and cracked. The bathroom sink had mold around it. Totally bad place

MOLD is part of their scam! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We got caught up in a scam that the La Avenida Inn is running through their listings online. When you arrive, they take you to a room that is clearly not inhabitable (mold on the wall, puddles of water on the floor, etc.) and when you point it out, they say "this is our only available room, are you rejecting it?" When you reject it, they keep your money, refuse to answer the calls of whatever online site you booked through, and relist it within minutes online for another unsuspecting party to book again that night. They must get paid 3-4 times for each room they actually own. At some point, someone accepts the room out of desperation. The manager admitted that they do this. Very unethical people. Avoid this scam at all costs!!!

It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any hotel. I was absolutely disgusted by the conditions of the room. I mean there was literally part of the floor missing from the bathroom. It looked like something from a horror movie. The room was booked by a separate party which is why reviews were not looked at. NEVER again. It was a completely awful experience in every sense of the word. I just hope this allows one party to avoid the biggest mistake of their lives.

no hot water we could not take a shower in our room! you hear everything from the top floor if you’re on the bottom. Moses was very very disrespectful as a customer never again will we stay there I have video of him verbally abusing my sister!!!

Don't book this hotel. Here is my experience. And I'm still here one more night. This was the second worst hotel experience I've had and my wife's worst. Our door lock broke and we could not get back into our room. The front desk woman did not have the correct tool to get back in. We had to wait over an hour and a half for the manager to drive to the hotel to fix it. My wife is currently 7 months pregnant and we have a 19-month old with us. The next morning it broke again. Now, the only way we can come and go as we please is if the front desk woman is here to let us in with a master key. Horrendous. Next, our toilet broke repeatedly. I had to personally rig it each time so it would stop running and actually flush. Also, holes in the sheets from obvious burn marks. Sheets were stained. There is no fitted sheet on the bed. Plan to wake up on the mattress itself. Bed makes terrible squeaky noises every time there's any movement. The crib we had to rent looks like it's from goodwill and is equally squeaky. The air conditioner/heater kind of works. The pool is colder than the ocean. There is no security latch on the door. I had to move the chair in front of the door and sit there so my toddler couldn't open the door. The lights flicker while on. Staff have shown no sympathy whatsoever nor made any attempt to right their many wrongs. But, it's in a good location....

La Avenida is a great place. The room was updated and clean, with hot water, comfortable beds, and the service was amazing!! Moses and Giselle, as well as the rest of the staff members, went above and beyond to accommodate our family traveling to Coronado for the first time. The hotel itself isn’t 5 stars, as it’s an older building, but it’s priced accordingly for what you get. And, did I mention the location!?!? It’s centrally located to the beach, food, dining, shopping, and had a magnificent view of the beach and the Del. When we return to Coronado, we will be checking La Avenida Inn first for availability!

RUN - MOLD - HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT This place is running fraudulent business - they put you in a mold room so you reject it and then REFUSE to refund you. NIGHTMARE. Room shown was disgusting and full of mold. READ OTHER REVIEWS. MULTIPLE MOLD REVIEWS.

Great location but website photos of rooms are deceptive. Supposedly the rooms have been renovated but all they did was remove the old carpet and put in flooring. The walls are dirty and scuffed as well as the baseboards and box springs cover was filthy. We’ve stayed here two years ago and it was just ok. This time it was unacceptable. We complained to two managers and they said there is nothing they can do.
