老鍾酒店(The Old Bell - Warminster)

Beautiful, quirky old building. The new owners are renovating I believe so some of the rooms are a little dated, ours was, but that didn't detract from our stay. Previous guests had broken the shower and not reported it, we did on discovery and it was replaced by the time we returned the same evening. I can't begin to tell you how delicious the Thai food was, we stayed three nights and ate there three times despite being out with friends on one evening! It was SO good. We even tried the fish and chips to see if the English options were as good - they were! Breakfast was lovely, cooked exactly as asked for, only on the last morning were my poached eggs over-done (but I hadn't specified how I wanted them cooked so my fault really) and they did offer to re-do them. We had a room at the front and while it was hot we opened the window - there's a nightclub across the street which bangs out the tunes till 2am, fighting till 2:30 and then the traffic starts about 5am. Didn't bother us at all and we slept through most of it even with the windows open - if you think this will spoil your stay contact the hotel and ask for a room at the back, DONT let it put you off. It really is a lovely place to stay, the food is amazing (and they do takeaways) and the staff are lovely, the can't do enough for you. Definitely going to book again as we have friends in the area but thinking about the food makes me want to go back right now! Oh - and there's a lovely beer garden at the back, perfect with a glass of cider on a hot day, and plenty on-site parking. Don't know what else you would need but it's right in the heart of town so plenty shops to visit. The pub closed due to Covid and the owners are new so I wouldn't take any notice of reviews prior to 2022 - onward & upwards!

The food was swift and delicious which was aided by the helpful recommendations from the friendly staff. The architecture was appealing and well maintained throughout - very clean and tidy - brandished with an old style which is always pleasant

Firstly, the service was awesome, the food was delicious, I can't fault the customer service very professional and friendly, however the towels were dirty, and the bins weren't empty. There was hardly any air conditioning. Pricing for the evening meal was a little steep for what it was.

Very nice service and room. Big and clean room with welcoming interiors. Good food with both very good thai food and classic English. The hotel has a guest parking just around the corner of the hotel, so it's easy to come by car.

This is a traditional old pub/hotel which is great. The rooms are a little dated, but clean, and it is good to be somewhere that is individual. Bed was comfortable, bathroom functional, staff friendly. One thing which would be good would be if it was made clear that the kitchen is not open on a Monday. Fortunately, there is a pub across the road that does food!

Beautiful facilities, friendly staff. Shame staff shortages meant the bar was closed and so was the restaurant. In room amenities, tea and coffee were fantastic... Would stay again when visiting mum and dad...

It was. Very nice thai food that i ever had Last time i has pla ma naow last time I have 2 pieces of sea bass but this time i have 1 and half pieces of seabass I was not expecting 1 and half pieces It have many thing that have changes alot when i was last time

We booked at the last minute, mid-week. We were warmly welcomed and everything was ready for us. The fresh, bottled water was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. We will stay again next time we are in the area.

Room very comfortable and all amenities supplied. Unfortunately, staff service in bar area not as efficient. Really lovely food, however, bar staff v disorganised. Little communication. Felt as if one staff member i dealt with couldnt be bothered. Personal touch sadly lacking.
