The Chequers酒店

We had a lovely stay at the chequers over Easter. Room was lovely - bed super comfy. Nice touches of decent shampoo/ shower gel etc. And I don't think I saw on the listing, but a TV with access to Netflix etc. Good location for going to walks / biking. There's a public footpath right next to the pub and a few biking options a short drive away. Breakfast was delicious. We ate in the pub both nights, food was lovely and service was great. And on the Saturday night was treated to a brilliant local jazz band. All round great, friendly service from the team. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here mid week as part of a work trip . A fantastic find . the manager (Caroline) couldn’t have been any better . Amazing service , great choice of drinks . I had the burger for evening meal and it was “banging” a great meal . The lib is set in a beautiful little village backing on to a small water feature . Plenty of parking and good wifi . Shower in the room was lovely . I will certainly look forward to staying here when i’m next in the area

Yet again another amazing Sunday lunch, we love this place. Honestly, the best Sunday lunch ever, and the most friendliest and attentive staff (although we did miss Caroline.) There were eight of us, all had different roasts and various other things, we all said the same thing, absolutely delicious, thank you.

What an exceptional experience at The Chequers!! Exquisite food from your very talented chef, Caroline, fantastic service from all your staff including your newest member, who is very handsome too, think he was called Bruce. Beautiful quaint building in gorgeous surroundings, went here on a recommendation from friends and definitely will be back. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful stay at The Chequers in Lamberhurst for our wedding anniversary. All of the staff were lovely! so warm and friendly. It is a beautiful property, still full of charm yet tastefully and beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, inside and out. The food was all freshly prepared and delicious! A Huge Thank You to All the Team at The Chequers for absolutely fantastic stay!

On Sunday I came to the chequers to be welcomed with a lovely smile from the waiters and was taken to my table by Charlie when I was seated down the was a vast variety of options on the menu but I went for the chicken roast it it was spectacular the chicken was perfectly cooked the vegetables were just amazing. Chalrie looked after us very well 5 stars for me

I went hear today because I heard it from a friend so I came here with my family and had a lovely time I sat in a very nice room with so many nice waiters but Charlie was the one who made me fell comfortable he was very nice I shall come again

We were met with a friendly smile on making our booking and given permission to leave our car in the pubs car park whilst we went for a 3 hour walk in the lovely countryside around Lamberhurst village and Scotney Castle. The welcome and service from Helen and Kieran was warm and professional. The burgers were tasty and filling and washed down with a well kept pint of Harveys Bitter.

My family and I eat here today, Helen was our server and I can honestly say it was the best family friendly visit to a pub we have had in a while, food and locale beverages were fantastic, atmosphere lovely, staff exceptional helpful, friendly and accommodating.
