金王山旅館(Gold King Mountain Inn)

I didn’t realize when booking but there is a ****** across the street and a lot of people come here for the ******. Even then, it wasn’t loud or uncomfortable in any way. We had an enjoyable stay and the area is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was nice and accommodating. The property could use some updating but for the price, it was nice.

The staff were very kind. However, that was just about it for us. Our beds were uncomfortable, one more so than the other. Our A/C sounded like a paper bag was stuck in it and kept us up all night. The pool and spa were out of service which was very disappointing for our four year old. Our TV would randomly turn off, once it was on it would buffer badly. There arent any places in town to grab a quick bite so breakfast would be a nice idea. We were very excited to stay here but it just didnt really live up to expectstion. Again, the staff is great! I need to remember that you get what you pay for next time.

To start with we called the hotel on our way to Cripple Creek, they could not find our reservation. We arrived 30 minutes later, and they still could could not find the find reservation for our two families. After a 30-45 minute wait, they finally gave us rooms. The one that we were in, there was dirty laundry in the draws of dresser, the shower curtain was ready to fall off the wall, the TV would not work. After asking about all these issues I was told they did not have staff to fix anything. They did give us another room that wasn't much better. The shower curtain was ready to fall off the wall, the room was not very clean at all. Then one reason we had booked here was that they had a pool. They did not saying anything before hand, once we arrived there was a posting on the wall coming in stating that their pool and hot tub were not available. Then once we asked about it, we were told that the hot tub could be used. We came up here for a wedding, so the hotel had quite a few guest for this wedding. Everyone I spoke with were so disappointed and said that they would never ever stay again. The hotel was almost just disgusting. From the upkeep to the ignorant staff at the front desk. Well I should not say all.. just the woman that was working the front desk. The gentleman was trying to do all he was capable of doing. This is diffidently not a place you really wanted to put anything on the floor, or even crawl in the bed.

Hotel staff were great. Hotel and rooms were clean. Mattresses could definitely do with an upgrade. And what happened to at least having coffee in the lobby. Not everyone wants to make it themselves in their room with bottled water you prbly get charged for.

I loved the pool at this property . The hotel is on the hill and a little ways from downtown Cripple Creek - inconvenient for a couple of our days there as they had a free shuttle for sat and sun but needed our car for.mon and Tues Dom the gentleman who checked us in was excellent - very accomodating - would recommend check in with Dom anytime ! Super nice guy!

The property has a lot of potential. The room was fine, and the pool was great. They were in the middle of a remodel. No breakfast because of the changes. No compensation for the lack of a meal. We qualify for a senior discount, but we could not have one at this time. I think they need to run as much as possible as if everything were normal.

My daughter and I stayed 6 nights in July. The hotel is not connected to the ******, but it's just a short drive to it. I think there is a shuttle that will take you there also. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Nothing fancy, but clean and roomy. We were gone most of the days, but the evenings were nice and quiet. Beds were comfy, water was good and hot, shower worked great. Small fridge and microwave to store and heat up any leftovers. We had a great view of beautiful Cripple Creek and the mountains from our room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone!

When we got there they said that we didn’t have to reservation. I should the the reservation number and they just said sorry but we don’t have any rooms.

Nice place. Clean. The shower drain didn’t drain well. Water backed up quickly. Had to turn off the water and wait for it to drain during showering. Blow dryer did not work
