This was our first stay at the Seafield Arms and all the staff we encountered were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. We had drinks and a really good meal in the bar in the evening, which was delicious with good portions. We were allocated a room at the back which was quite convoluted to get to overlooking the car park and it was quite noisy when the bar singer played. It was an average size room with a comfortable large bed but quite dark and on closer look the bathroom ceiling was peeling, the paintwork had scuffs and stains and there were hairs and small flies in the bathroom. The room only rate was £190 which is pretty steep for what we got but luckily we had a voucher, otherwise we would have been sorely disappointed.

We stayed for two nights for our tenth wedding anniversary. What a fantastic hotel. Gorgeous room which was spotless, fantastic friendly staff and wonderful food. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful feel to it. We will be back!

If you want great food then this is the place to go for dinner in Cullen. When chose Bar 19 to eat it. Had a lovely meal of Monkfish curry and the other half had pork belly burger and fries. Food is of a high standard, fresh and beautifully served. Service staff were extremely attentive. Met friends afterwards in the bar and cocktail of the week was Pina Colada, so I had to have one! Good selection of gin and wines and fever tree tonics. Have booked for our anniversary at end of the month. Can't wait.

Ample parking nearby with a short walk to the establishment. Friendly staff met us at reception and showed us to our private room, which cost £50 to hire (historically was free). The charge was non-deductible from the final bill and we could use it for up to 3 hours. We decorated the room (allowed limited decoration). There was 8 in our party, but we were charged for 9. The food was good, with adequate privacy (soundproof). The total bill was £232.85.

Excellent all round. Food very good, nice menu. Service excellent Surroundings excellent, comfortable, clean. No doubt one of the best hotels and restaurants in the North East. Definitely worth a drive out if you’re not local to Cullen. Prices reasonable bearing in mind the above comments.

For £140, room only, I have to give this hotel a poor rating. The room itself was nice enough, apart from the fact there’s no mirror anywhere near a power socket, so my wife couldn’t dry her hair easily. The most annoying thing is we were in a completely separate building from the main hotel, like they bought some cottages nearby. These are a walk up a hill and then we had to go up some stairs as well, with cases. This isn’t remotely acceptable for £140, if we wanted a small air BnB apartment we’d have got one! We won’t be back to this ‘hotel’, which doesn’t actually feel like a hotel at all, that’s certain.
