Da alcuni mesi il Cristal Hotel ha riaperto i battenti dopo un vigoroso restyling e dopo il passaggio nelle mani di una strutturata catena alberghiera che ci mette soldini, idee, linee guida ma anche servizi all'osso. Bella la nuova hall, bene le camere (il bagno resta piccolo, la doccia minuscola), ottimo il caldo in tutta la struttura e nelle camere, professionale e anche accogliente la reception, veloci le pratiche di check in e out. Manca il ristorante e hanno messo dei distributori a pagamento di piatti preconfezionati e bevande, con la fornitura gratuita di bicchieri, posate... La colazione è davvero striminzita (con una sola dipendente in sala) e anche qui si va con le ”macchinette” che fanno quei caffe e cappuccini da pelle d'oca! Il voto finale risente pesantemente dell'insistente e fastidioso abbaiare che per tutto il pomeriggio si è sentito in camera: un paio di cani dai balconi del vicino palazzo retrostante hanno incessantemente abbaiato verso altri cani che giravano nel vicino parchetto a loro riservato. Davvero snervante l'abbaiare che ha impedito il riposo.

This is a fabulous hotel. Set in the heart of Cuneo’s square right next to the pedestrianised old town and a stones throw from the beautiful cathedral, you’d be hard pushed to find a better place to stay. Communication before arrival was fantastic and easy. Maurizio even sorted out our transport from Turin airport. Not so easy for us to do as we were travelling with bikes (storage at the hotel was provided in their locked garage) The hotel is clean, steeped in history and the staff are incredibly friendly with a great knowledge of English- far better than my Italian! Covid measures are still taken very seriously by all staff too. The room was lovely, a good size, with a balcony. Air-con worked effectively and the bathroom was great. Again, exceptionally clean. House keeping we’re great too. Breakfast is included with all the usual you’d expect for a good continental graze! Again, staff are exceptionally welcoming. Cuneo is not really a destination people consider but if you do find yourself heading that way, this is certainly the place to stay! Hôtel tout refait, propre et moderne. Le personnel est très accueillant. La réservation à pu se faire par téléphone. Les matelas sont confortables. La salle de bain est très pratique. Le petit déjeuner est servi dans une salle très petite mais il y a ce qu'il faut . Un bémol cependant, notre chambre donnait sur le parking de service de l'hôpital. Donc beaucoup de bruits le matin.. I find this hotel to be lovely. We love the size of the rooms, the quietness, and the pleasant and accommodating staff. We have stayed here numerous times and are never disappointed. It is convenient, breakfast is plentiful, rooms are clean and substantial, and the staff is extremely friendly. I highly recommend it if you are in Cuneo.
