This is a really unique, eclectic hotel! SERVICE WAS AMAZING! Especially in the bar area and restaurant. The food was sooooo good, too. We ate off the lunch and breakfast menu and it was to die for. We had drinks on the rooftop, and that too was spectacular with friendly service and a great view. The rooftop pool area was really nice with fire pit and plenty of lounge seating inside and outside. It was a really fun atmosphere. Our room was HUGE and also had a great view - it was a corner room. Very comfortable. We had a great stay. Also in walking distance of other bars and restaurants. Parking was plentiful and free. I would definitely recommend it.

The hotel was nice and clean. Our room had a nice view of Dallas. The rooftop pool and bar was very crowded.

The hotel itself was beautiful, despite some worn furniture inside of my room. I booked a stay for 5 nights but unfortunately had to check out after the first night due to being up all night from the loud noise coming from the outside parking lot and music venues nearby. The walls in my room were so thin I could literally hear everything coming from outside of the hotel with my room overlooking the parking lot even with all of the windows being closed. I've never experienced noise to this extent in a hotel and it was a Wednesday evening. The front desk offered to change my room but did acknowledge that all of the walls are very thin and it is an ongoing issue they've had. If you don't plan to sleep at all during your stay, then the Canvas Hotel will be great for you. Otherwise if you are looking to get good rest and sleep I would highly recommend staying at another location.

Canvas hotel Dallas has a rooftop pool & nice view, however they never notified us that the pool would be closed for construction prior to arrival. That was the whole I booked there. We were pretty bummed about that. They also started jackhammering at like 7am! If you book make sure you get 4th or 5th floor for the best view. We got 2nd and wish it was higher. I stayed on 5th previously and it was a huge difference.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, the bar was ok. The pool closing at dusk was extremely lame and day we wanted to swim there was a couple having a proposal session so the pool was unusable. The door men were fantastic as well as late night counter gal. Our biggest complaint would be the exposed pipes in ceiling making a constant sound throughout our stay, some people enjoy noise and we’re definitely not those people. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay here again, the hotels efforts to seem urban almost seemed off rather than classy urban.

Gorgeous property, room is beautiful and artfully decorated. Rooftop view is beautiful! Buy your drinks before you arrive because the bar prices are high. Easy walking distance to Alamo cinema and Gilleys / south side ballroom. Great stay, would definitely stay again!

The first room I had there was a barking dog next-door plus the air conditioner did not work. The barking continued. I called downstairs. They moved me to a different room and floor, then starting at 12 AM a girl was screaming for hours I called again. They said they would send somebody up but it continued then the girl started getting sick in the hallway until 4 AM. I could tell there were several people trying to help her, but it seem like she would not accept the help. I got no sleep. I went there to relax and I’ve stayed at this hotel several times.
