I stayed here over this past weekend, 6/9-6/11/2023 for the FanExpo. I had my daughter and her boyfriend. I booked a two queen bed studio. It was a five hour drive to get to Dallas from where we live. We were to leave on Friday before 5:00. However, due to a family emergency I didn't leave town until after 8:00 that night. Putting me at the hotel after 1:00 AM. I contacted them to let them know of my late arrival and was assured it was no problem because they ran their systems at 3:00 AM. Make it to the hotel at 1:30 AM. Get checked in and to my room and I was put in a king studio with a sofa bed. I booked two beds. I go back down and show her my reservation is for two queen beds. While on the phone she plays around on the computer to tell me sorry, all those rooms are dirty and she can't fix anything. How in the world would housekeeping leave rooms dirty that are to be reserved for check in that day is mind boggling. I am so unhappy immediately. Sleeper sofas are the worst. I paid for two beds for comfort. When booking I saw the king room with a sleeper sofa, which was cheaper but paid more money for two beds for a reason! On top of that, no bedding for the sleeper sofa in the room. Had to request that, waited 45 more minutes for that. Called over and over at the front desk with no answer to find out what was taking so long. Out of frustration, went to go to the front desk in person only to find the bedding laying on the dirty floor outside our door. However, there was no blanket, just sheets. No telling how long we were waiting for nothing. Went downstairs again to ask for a blanket and she was nowhere to be found. A man wearing a uniform with a drivers name tag offered to help as he said he hasn't been able to find the front desk worker and that he would personally bring the blanket to the room, and he did. At this point it is now 3:30 AM and we have to be awake by 7:00 AM to attend the FanExpo. My daughters boyfriend insisted on taking the couch. Resulting in him tossing a turning for hours in pain, getting no sleep. At one point he just got up and put the bed away and accepted he was not getting any sleep. The next morning I spoke with the manager on duty and she told me rooms had been extended and that's why there was no room available. But that she could hold our stuff while we were out for the day to be moved into the correct room. This did happen. We were moved to the correct room Saturday night. As a result of this experience, it ruined our day at the Expo. We were drained, sore and unable to fully enjoy our experience. At one point, we had to find a spot for the boyfriend to lay down at the Expo and try to take a nap because he felt ill. Resulting in us missing panels we were excited to see along with our photo ops we purchased. Instead of being able to walk around and look at the different shopping, we waited for our turn for photos, found somewhere to lay down and rest until the next photo. We had tickets for just Saturday, so
Used this hotel as it is close to a Holt Cat dealer and I’m an employee training for the week. It is in a very bad area as other reviewers described but it had a security guard and I was willing to take the risk. Was quoted 139.00 a day and I said that’s good I needed it for the week. Room was nice although the walls were thin and the ac unit sounded like an airplane trying to take off when the compressor kicked in. I did not complain about these things, I realize some things the front desk just can’t control. However when I checked out and asked for a copy of the bill I was shocked to see that the daily charges were 139, 179, 199, 199, and 139. I spoke with the guy at the front desk and he said he didn’t know why but would have the asst manager Jennifer call when she came in Went to class the whole day and got no call. Drove 4 hours home and called and she said Jennifer would be in at 11 pm and would call me in the morning. I called back at 6:30 before her shift ended and she said it was common practice to change the rates daily without people’s consent. I asked since my credit card was charged when I arrive was this not a contract to which she stated it was only a hold put on the card. She then stated I needed to talk to the manager Tim when he arrived back to work on Monday. This is not even my credit card that was charged it was the company’s but it’s about the principle now. The fact that I have to wait 4 days for something to be corrected that should have happened when brought to their attention the first time. There is a major disconnect between the auditors, managers, and customers. Will see how Tim handles this Monday before I write a review on Holts credit card statement that I have to submit, for all of holts company’s to see how Marriott treats its customers.
The hotel lobby was so nice and inviting. The staff was very friendly. I knocked a star off because all the rooms aren’t updated the same as the photos online. We were with a volleyball team so we were able to see the different rooms. We were on the second floor and our friends rooms were higher up. There is an inaccessible balcony on the second and third floor (maybe even 4th) and then the other rooms above extend out. We had friends on the 7th and 8th floors and their rooms were much larger and updated to what you see in pictures. The bathrooms are also much larger on the higher floors vs the room we had on the second floor. Was our room bad.. it was fine but not only did it need updating so what we saw in photos lined up with the rooms but these rooms were a little more rundown (I.e., part of the baseboard was pulling off the wall). It was nice to just have to take a set of stairs to get to our room but I definitely would’ve preferred a higher floor and larger room since we had 4 people in our room. If it was just one or two people the size would’ve been more easily tolerated (and we did have 4 people listed when we signed up for our room through the volleyball registration). We also had an issue where we did not have enough towels for everyone in our room. The first night they brought us extras and we were able to use those the second night. The third night they didn’t have enough staff to bring us more so they wanted us to come down to get it ourselves. Would I stay here again.. I would.. but I definitely wouldn’t settle for a lower quality room for the same price as the more updated rooms in the future.
訪訪客The hotel was wonderful… The staff is very friendly, the hotel is clean, the bar was vibrant and the rooms are spacious. You can’t beat the location of this place. It’s literally a five minute Uber ride to any major point. Such as the Kennedy assassination or Terry Blacks for some great barbecue, or if you’re in town for a convention to the convention center. we used Uber to get around if not, we use the electric scooters . Never needed to rent a car because a Uber ride from the airport will run you around $50. The hotel is in a great location. Funny of dining options, one of our favorite places to stay.

The first staff member we had, Karen, was phenomenal. Greeted us and answered all questions we had and was super friendly. The second day we were there the lady was horrible. Put her hand in my face and cancelled my reservation. Showers for both rooms we had didn’t work.
