Wir haben in Cardwell eine Zwischenstopp eingelegt, sind am Nachmittag angekommen und am nächsten Morgen direkt weiter gefahren. Das Motel ist super, direkt am Wasser gelegen und hat einen kleinen Pool mit Aussicht auf das Meer. Restaurants befinden sich in Laufweite und es bietet sich ein netter Spaziergang am Meer an (aber Achtung, in der Bucht gibt es ein Krokodil). Das Zimmer war einwandfrei und der Empfang sehr nett.

A nice peaceful stay right on the beachfront, good air conditioning, very nice beach view, close to amenities & local swimming rock pools, Bbq area's, food and the jetty.

Advertised as if it’s a lot better than what it actually is. It’s an old basic motel, that’s it. Yes, one end of the building faces the beach but the rooms do not, you can’t see the beach from any of the rooms I saw. Could be in an old outback shack.

This was a great stopover venue. The location was perfect with easy to walk to sights and the local pub as well as the sound of the ocean to wake up to. The owners are friendly and helpful.

We stayed a night in Cardwell on the drive from Port Douglas to Airlie Beach. Cardwell beach is beautiful with a couple of lovely cafes for breakfast. A few spots for dinner although they do close early!
The studio was perfect for our stay. Kelly and Chris were great hosts ☺️
