Nice but expensive

Nowhere was it disclosed before our stay that a majority of the amenities including room service would be unavailable due to a worker strike. Our room was dirty with.. interesting stains. (have photos). Deceitful to have amenities posted on your site and ******* that do not exist in reality. Would have never booked here had I known this.

We have stayed at this property 3 times in the last couple of months. This time, we arrived to check-in and found that the ****** and ****** hotel staff were on strike. They were operating with minimal staff and the floor in our room was so dirty that our shoes were sticking to the floor(it was nasty), there was a pair of used contact lenses on the night stand, and the room obviously was not cleaned well. I get it, staff was on strike.....but we received no emails or calls about it before arrival and we had no idea. Dining we enjoy in the ****** was closed, long lines to get service...it was bad. It was too late to cancel our reservation and I am sure that is why we had no notice. Very disappointed for a room that cost over $300. You stay at this location for an experience and they could not offer anything but a bad one. Come to find out their staff had been on strike since Oct 17th and our reservation was Oct 30th. I think they had time to give us some warning. Of course...no offers whatsoever offered for the situation and no discounted rate. I have to admit that we did not ask for a different room because we didn't have time and we figured that the next one if available would likely be just as dirty.

We love spending time in Detroit. This is a great spot to do it! Friendly staff, comfy bed, valet included! Highly recommend. We really enjoyed our stay.

For the price of the rooms they are very small. Our room had a single set of towels had to call and request a second set. The shower leaked all over the floor. There was a greasy hand print on the bathroom wall. The toilet seat was so loose it slid around and would pinch your butt. No in room microwave which ****** for leftovers from local restaurants. All the baseboards were coated in dust. Found change in the floor under the bed so clearly cleaning is lacking. Bed was comfortable, view was great.

It was worst stay I have had in a hotel. Rude front desk, no accommodation when asked, terrible trip

Was not worth the money we paid. Dingy and stained bedding. Only one towel for 2 people. Won’t be back.

Our stay was nice, our room was clean and we had a great view of the city. However, the water in the shower got warm, but not hot. I was ready for a nice hot shower but was very let down. Also, the walls are so thin, you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing.

Room was not clean, stains on the bed. Steamer didn’t work and we called two days in a row to get a new one and it never came. I will not return to this hotel.
