遊牧金沙酒店(Nomad Beach Resort)

Sehr schöne Hotelanlage an traumhaften Strand. Wir buchten nach unserem 3 wöchigen Aufenthalt über die Festtage 23/24 vor Ort, eine Villa für einen Monat über den Jahreswechsel 24/25. Trotz mündlicher Bestätigung und zweimaliger Mailzusage von der Geschäftsleitung, Herr de Marchis, erhielten wir nie eine defintive Reservationsbestätigung. Alle weiteren E-Mailnachfragen wurden nicht beantwortet. In telefonischer Rückfrage unsererseits, zu Beginn März, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass die Villa anderweitig vermietet wurde. Mit dieser Tatatsache wird die Wertschätzung gegenüber Gästen mit Füssen getreten - sie ist - schlicht unverschämt!

Der Strand ist wunderschön (nicht der Verdienst des Hotels), Personal zum Teil bezaubernd, Zimmer schön, Anlage auch, Hütten am Strand sehr schön, aber laut zum Schlafen, Essen teils eine Frechheit, teils gut, Preise für Essen und Wein überteuert, Pool sehr klein, dient mehr als Tauchübungspool, insgesamt, na ja, nicht nochmal auf jeden Fall

Nach Corona waren wir in diesem Jahr für mehrere Wochen im Sands at Nomad. In den letzten Jahren sind die Bungalows aufwändig renoviert und ausgestattet worden. Sie wurden hell und freundlich eingerichtet – kein Vergleich zu dem vorherigen etwas dunkleren Mobiliar. Auch das Bad wurde umgestaltet und ein wenig vergrößert. Der Empfangsbereich ist umgestaltet worden. Der Gesamteindruck ist sehr positiv. Wir können natürlich nur die Bungalows mit dem eigenen Garten und direktem Zugang zum Meer beurteilen. Tagsüber haben wir uns nur dort aufgehalten. Wie die Ausstattung der anderen Zimmer oder das Leben in und am Pool ablaufen, wissen wir nicht. Die beiden Mitarbeiter Ralli (Guest Relation) und Oliver sind uns aufgrund ihrer Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft in besonders guter Erinnerung. Die Mahlzeiten wurden im Restaurant eingenommen, das auch von auswärtigen Gästen besucht wird. Es war für uns nicht immer einfach, die richtigen Speisen zu finden. Entweder gab es sie gerade nicht oder standen überhaupt nicht auf der Karte. Wie sehr hatten wir uns auf ein Thunfischsteak oder Snapperfilet gefreut. Ein rosa gebratenes Filet mit Gemüse (nicht nur Karotten oder Kohl) oder ein Lammkotelette wären nicht schlecht gewesen. Bei den Salaten überwogen Kohl oder Paprikastreifen. Tomaten oder Gurken waren unbekannt. Alles in allem waren die Speisen nicht mit denen vor Corona und einer anderen Geschäftsleitung zu vergleichen. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass die Speisekarte auf den arabischen oder asiatischen Geschmack ausgerichtet war. Dem Gast, der das Hotel für kurze Zeit vor oder nach einer Safari bucht, wird dies sicherlich kaum auffallen. Aber bei 4 Wochen. . . . ? Fazit: Beach Bungalows uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert – Restaurant sollte nach gebessert werden.

What a location! The accommodation sits on the shores of the Indian Ocean on a beautiful soft sandy beach, complete with coral reef. We switched from a sea breeze to a beachfront room and well worth the extra, as not only do you get a larger room but the location is right on the beach. I took a free diving class in the hotel pool and this resulted in my first open water scuba dive. This wasnt planned but so glad I did. Lots of turtles, coral and of course tropical fish. Quite a few monkeys around and the odd baboon but this just adds to the experience. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Stay there in December 2023 for 1 week with a family of 4 kids Great location on a very nice beach. Nice restaurant with beautiful view on the sea and very good food. Friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms. Dive center in the hotel, nice pool where you can learn to dive. Kayaks, body boards, snorkeling gear etc available for guests. Nice gym in the forest but some equipment need to be repaired. Only issue was that the restaurant is very popular with at time many external guests and long waiting time.

This is literally the best resort/hotel I have ever stayed at ( I travel a lot). If you have any hesitation with booking here do not at all! Where do I begin. The staff are wonderful, the food is incredible and the beach is like none I have ever been to. My room was ocean view and was next level. I was debating between staying here vs at the Swahili resort, but I really wanted a beautiful beach. I have zero regrets as the beach was literally stunning and the water was perfect. The beach boys were present but honestly not a big deal. They were polite and if you said no they left you alone. I felt exceptionally safe and well taken care of. The airport pick up by Juma was next level. I felt safe and he also helped me get a sim card and exchange money and I really enjoyed just chatting and my drive with him! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I normally have a rule where I won't go back to the same place twice, but for this hotel I would break that rule!

Great gem of a hotel. Hotel staff is so accommodating, and have been working there for years, which is a good sign. The GM and his spouse as well as the new kitchen Chef made our time there and meals, and activities memorable. Diani beach is most beautiful beach in the world, and the hotel is right up there with it!

Estuvimos alojados allí 5 noches y cenamos todas las noches allí (aunque no nos gustó mucho el restaurante era lo más práctico). El último día tuvimos un problema con el vuelo que teníamos que coger (iba retrasado) y quisimos pedir un "late check out" de 2h más que nos negaron de manera bastante mal educada. No compensa lo que vale con el servicio que dan y más con todos los hoteles buenos que hay alrededor.

An absolutely fantastic mini hotel, very kind staff, the food is absolutely fantastic, an unexpectedly clean and beautiful place. I recommend this hotel with confidence. In Safari I recommend only 1 day, even if the road is tiring, you have nothing to do for 3 days.... because 1 day actually meant 2 days lost... few animals in the Safari... but at this mini boutique hotel the pleasure of this place is also the monkeys who are friendly especially when you feed them.
