hotel trés agréable avec tout le confort moderne et un personnel charmant une vue extraordinaire le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner etaient raffinés et succulents Enchanté de ce séjour j y retournerai et je recommanderai ce séjour à tous mes amis Joel et Denise

La chambre ne correspondait pas à notre demande, douche glissante dangereuse, climatisation bruyante, repas uniquement à la carte, bon sans plus,champagne sans accompagnement,accueil juste poli.on paie cher la vue magnifique,et la notoriété du passé..vraiment déçue.

Un bel hôtel très bien placé. Grande chambre (supérieure) avec une superbe vue sur la vallée. Petit déjeuner copieux sur la terrasse de l’hôtel. Nous avons pas pu goûter le restaurant car c’était le jour de relâche.

Très agréable séjour dans cet hôtel que nous connaissons depuis longtemps. La chambre et la terrasse où on peut manger aux beaux jours, offrent des vues sur la vallée de la Dordogne qui sont à couper le souffle ! Nous recommandons évidemment le restaurant de l'hôtel Nous reviendrons encore !

L'Esplanade in Domme is one of our very favorite places to stay in all of Europe - fantastic view over the river valley, great restaurant for dinner, great breakfast, lovely staff - friendly & courteous

The receptionist Celeste was our first point of contact and she was exceptional in making us welcome and offering to help make dinner reservations. This turned out to be essential as Domme is a small town with many places closed on Sunday & Monday. But for us, it was a wonderful experience in every way. Our room looked out over the Dordogne river from high up on the cliff. We loved the terrace for late-afternoon drinks, and we ate at Auberge de la Rode, which we highly recommend.

This is my second stay at this unique and wonderful hotel. After reviewing over 450 hotels and restaurants, I only give 5 star reviews to those that are truly exceptional in some way. Here I rated both the hotel and restaurant as 5* for the first time ever. This is owing in part to its amazing cliff top location on the edge of Domme overlooking miles of the Dordogne Valley several hundred feet below (perfect for watching the hot air balloons rise over the hills at dawn. It is owing in part to the amazing half board dinner with three courses of amusement bouche before the entree, between the entree and wonderful plant and after dessert when one was already satiated. But it is owing mostly to the warm welcome of our host and her ever present furry sidekick. I will return again and again and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
