Attended a birthday Sunday lunch and although our table was not ready for the agread time we were well looked after in the very comfortble bar until it was available.Our table was in the conservatory which was very pleasant overlooking the gardens the menu was limited but the choices should accommodate most peoples tastes. the food was excellent although I thought the portion size was a bit on the small side especially the starter and desert. The staff were attentive and engaging and a enjoyable time was had by all.

If you are planning to get married here go for it,we went to a wedding on Friday here and it was perfect,canopies we’re lovely mini yorkshires with horseradish gorgeous,wedding breakfast was roast chicken breast potatoes spinach brocolli cooked to perfection,our room number 6 was beautiful a four poster bed and a large room (though the tv needed replacing had to keep retuning it it was quite old)the bathroom was big with a walk in shower and a seperate bath,tea/coffee making facilities,hairdryer,and a mini fridge in the wardrobe,the chapel was so pretty where the ceremony took place,the staff were really friendly,I really recommend it here.

This is an old property which I'm guessing means that it's expensive to maintain and that's why the rooms are expensive. The room I had was big but a bit odd in terms of decor - four poster bed but with nineties-style furniture. There was a small desk/dressing table but one half was unusable because the mini fridge was under the table. The other half could only be used by moving a table lamp onto the floor. The restaurant was extremely disappointing. I had dinner which cost about £60 for 3 courses with wine which would have been fine if the dishes had acquired any sort of flavour on their way to the table. The full English breakfast was no better with the weakest, most insipid coffee I've had in a long time. It's served in a cafetiere but I suspect it comes out of an urn given that the plunger on the cafetiere was already down when the pot arrived. I sent the first pot back but the second was no better. Not recommended.

Booked for Sunday lunch for 13 people last April to take place in August. Suddenly received an email demanding full payment and all guests must choose from the menu 3 weeks prior to the event! Needless to say the booking has been cancelled and we won’t be looking at Nuthurst in the future. No mention was made of this pre-payment or pre-order when the booking was made.

We attended a wedding yesterday and from arrival to departure I can only say that the venue and the staff were impeccable. Extremely well organised and the quality of the food throughout the day and the attention of the staff to detail was excellent. Well done Paul and crew….

The room was beautiful, the staff were unbelievably helpful, the food was exquisite, and it's tucked away in stunning surroundings. Recommend this to couples, business travellers or anyone that likes luxury at a reasonable price. Thank You

An excellent afternoon tea with friends for a special birthday. A first time visit for all of us but not the last. Lovely location, friendly and helpful staff and delicious food. We will be back both to have another afternoon tea and to try a dinner in the evening.
