哥倫布西北萬豪酒店(Marriott Columbus Northwest)

The hotel itself was very nice, however the staff was rude at check-in and when we got to our room it was supposed to be a king room and it was twin. When I called the front desk the same rude lady told me that when all the king rooms are taken they downgrade, how is that even possible? I booked a king room a week prior to our arrival. We made the best of it anyway and had a good visit to Columbus!

Under my pull out couch had food. A pill was found on the ground of my bathroom. It isn’t terrible, but for almost $300 I expect a spotless room. And maybe towels, soap, even a toothbrush.

No hot water. Very tiny fridge didn't even work, coffee machine was dirty, front desk clerk was texting while i was trying to talk to her face to face. But the thing that was worst is that toilet seat was totally broken - couldn't even sit on it. I checked in late and left immediately to have dinner. When i came back and realized the condition of toilet seat maitenance was gone and my kid was asleep, so couldn't be repaired nor change the room. Here is the real problem though in morning when I complained and showed pictures to the front desk manager, she almost accused me it was my fault i didn't notice it right away. Well I stayed for 1 night so i shouldn't be expected as guest to inspect my hotel room, and then notify front desk and then waste my time waiting for maintenance. I do not work for Mariott. I want to stay in a hotel where everything is decent so i dont waste my time for your own repairs. Mariott always had high standards for customer service and satisfaction, but i guess that is a thing of the past. It is unacceptable front desk to text while talking to a guest, not to even to make eye contact. Totally disappointing experience.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and modern. However, the heating system completely ruined the stay. Our room soared to 81 degrees through the night despite turning off the heat. It was frustrating and made for a restless night. It also shot our early morning plans, because we were too tired. The hotel was obviously aware as they normally had fans to give out, but they were out that night. Yet, we were still booked to the 7th floor without notice that this was a recurring issue. If not for this issue, I’d recommend the hotel again. Because of the issue, I’d recommend asking if it has been resolved prior to booking and would not recommend at all if not.

Food is ridiculous expensive!!!

I had two instances in which staff intruded into my room without my permission. I came back one night and the door had been left cracked upon, which made me afraid to go back in. Staff member was argumentative when I asked for someone to escort me in for safety. Another night a woman on the staff tried to force herself in while I was staying there. They are lucky I didn’t call the police. I didn’t feel safe staying there. Also the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Room was otherwise nice.

The rooms that i RESERVED weren't available when i arrived! Had to sleep in an uncomfortable full size bed.

The thermostat was set at 65 but felt more like 75 Not a good temp for sleeping
