西港服務公寓(Westport Serviced Apartments)

DO NOT BOOK THESE APARTMENTS!!! I turned up to this hotel last night at 5pm after being sent a reminder of my stay on Wednesday…when I arrived the building was in darkness and a Belfast number on the door to call…I called said number and was told that the Dundee apartments had been closed down over a month ago. I was not made aware of this and was not left with nowhere to stay…I am currently fighting to get my money back and trip are refusing to pay me a refund as they cannot get through to the Dundee branch of dream apartments despite being told several times they will get no answer due to it being shut down and being given the Belfast number i had to contact. I’m still waiting for them to believe me that it is shut down with no staff available.

WOW What a place 😍 . Absolutely Amazing 👍 5+ Star 🌟 Review for everything. Very posh the Perfect Appartments you want to stay in if You are visiting Dundee. Hotel /reception staff Alex and Julia I would have to give 10 stars 🌟. They are very polite, well mannered and very accommodating. They will assist you and help you in anything you need to know or do. And go above and beyond to help anyone or Any situation that you have or arises. I have never been to a hotel or accommodation with such polite staff and would highly recommend anyone to stay at Dream Appartments. The Appartment rooms are really big and very clean and well set up 10 stars 🌟 for the cleaning staff as well. I was so delighted with my Appartments which made my stay even more exciting and enjoyable 😊. I have zero complaints about Dream appartments and would recommend Dreams as a first option as the best Appartments in Dundee. Oh and there is a TV in ever room so no fighting over the controls, Cook your own meals at your own leasure and eat when you want. A lidl store is directly across the road and a Tesco express about 100 yards round the corner so plenty of options with kebab/Pizza shops as well and a bar that does meals straight across the road. Very reasonable priced for appartments that you won't turn down once you experience the appartments and the most friendly accommodating Staff you could get. It's child Frendly as well, as my 9 year old was so amazed he thought he was in another world because the whole place is so beautifu and so clean to the highest of standard's 😊. Oh, and they have a Lovely gesture of a full sweet jar at reception with various different sweets for all ages. And 5% off your second Booking. I would Like to Thank Alex and Julia very much for their excellent service and the cleaners who work there for the crisp clean bedding and Fresh towels daily and for everything being such a high standard. The apartment was large, but very tired looking and dirty; we had previously stayed pre-lockdown (previous owners) and it used to be lovely. We were staying for 5 days and there were only 2 items of cutlery and crockery supplied, with a dishwasher, what's the point! We had 4 hangers in the wardrobe, for 2 people, wow! The 1st night and next day we had no hot water to take a shower; we had to boil the kettle to have a wash in the sink! As there are no night porters and no staff after 6.30 pm, we had to wait until the next day for help. We asked reception to get a maintenance person to fix the problem and were told that he doesn't work Mondays, so come back tomorrow! That evening, someone got into our apartment with a key and fortunately we were in! We had to put a chest of drawers against the door, as no night porter on. The next day we informed the manager on reception, who said that they hadn’t been told, even though the other reception informed us that they had. The manager wasn’t interested and stated 'I don't know what you want me to say'...….. well, an apology would be a start! Needless to say, we didn't feel safe staying there and so moved to another hotel. It was so anxiety provoking. Subsequently, I contacted Dream apartments numerous times, as there is no direct number to the head office, and requested a full refund, as the contract had not been fulfilled. After lie upon lie, we contacted ***********, who attempted to contact them to retrieve the monies, to no avail. *********** have refunded our monies and are dealing with dream apartments themselves, but needless to say, we will never stay there again!

Booked the penthouse for a special bday treat overnight for my family,on the website it was far from luxury .Number 1 it wasn't a penthouse, it was a third floor apartment smelled of smoke and musty smell Number 2 no ensuite bathroom to any of the two rooms. Number 3, noticed a white sock over the smoke alarm in the bedroom ,against fire regulations. Thank goodness we noticed this other of there was a fire ,I wouldn't be able to write this review. Just shows that the company who service the apartments, do not clean their apartments well. Number 4,one of the balcony door was screwed shut, with a poster saying broken do not use. Number 5 the floor in the bathroom was smelly and when you walked on it,uneven,squashy .the shower had a bolt to switch it on and off. So disappointing, Dundee was a lovely city. The only good thing I can say is *********** gave me a full refund. There is an American ice cream parlour next door,delicious waffles. I feel the room.should have been condemned,not fit for use, especially families.

AVOID!!! “Luxury Apartments”…There is nothing luxury about these apartments at all. Floors have clearly never been hoovered/brushed before arrival as I could feel how dirty the flooring was when I took my trainers off. Floorboards through my apartment were also unbearably squeaky and even my work mate who was the room below me said he could hear every one of my footsteps!! No fans/air con and windows only open a tiny bit so apartment was like an oven. Speaking of ovens, I’ve seen more modern ovens in Chernobyl. Kitchen pans were disgusting so had to buy my own. And to top it off all you can hear is seagulls screaming on outside. They make a brilliant alarm at 5am though!! The staff at reception are friendly and helpful however so credit to them. Overall, very poor “luxury” apartments. Never again. 2 out 5

I had booked the penthouse suite for my mums birthday (very rarely do we all get together and the time off). The night before we were to arrive, I received an email to let us know we couldn't stay there as they had "maintenance issues." Conveniently, they send this at around 17.45 when they close at 18.00! They also had no other options for us, which is odd as normally hotels have deals with other ones to find accommodation elsewhere. They did offer us free parking and an early check-in if we chose to stay again however, I really wouldn't trust them not to do this to us in the future as it seems like a regular occurrence according to other reviews on here. Thankfully, we did find fantastic accommodation at Duchally Country Estate, where we were treated extremely well and had a great catch-up, and I would recommend them in the future.

On arriving at the dream apartments Friday 28th July . The Initial impression was adequate. However the next day when we tried to have a shower the control was not working at all - so no shower ! Spoke with staff at the reception who apologised but said this would have to be passed to a manager who was called Alex . We checked out the apartments the next day and was assured Alex would call us We waited for a call - nothing . Over the next couple of days we called back Dream Apartments to be told various excuses - Alex was off shift , Alex was on holiday and there was no -one else to deal with this complaint. Still waiting on a response and our money back - poor customer service particularly from Alex !!! Do not book

These apartments are supposed to be 4 star and at £130 a night, I would have expected alot more. The lino on the bathroom floor was rippled / lumpy and really poorly siliconed. The panels behind the toilet are just botched pieces of wood screwed on and painted. There is black mould all around the shower base. There is a drawer front missing from the kitchen unit, chipped furniture, splatters on the walls… I could go on. We drove 2 hours to get there and chose to drive home again rather than stick it out for the night - that says it all. We have asked for a full refund and this place really needs inspected / re-rated at 2/3 star at a push! Don’t go here if you expect basic levels of finishing / cleanliness.

Just back from night in Dundee and pleasantly surprised at the standard of accommodation in 1 bedroom apartment. Rooms were large and clean, toilet clean. Plenty towels for shower etc but could do with dish towel, though you could use the dishwasher. Great view and easily walkable into town centre and V&A area. Would recommend to others to stay here. Parking close by. Reception staff pleasant and very helpful. Did encounter difficulty in getting to speak to someone prior to our arrival.
