弗裏茨杜塞爾多夫國王大道酒店(The Fritz Düsseldorf Königsallee)

Hello, I booked this hotel for one night with my husband and 1 year old daughter on 20/12/2023. We arrived promptly at check-in time due to my toddler desperately needing a nap. We were faced with a very unwelcoming receptionist who took the utmost pleasure in informing us that we were not allowed to check-in to our hotel room because we didn't add our baby to the reservation. She insisted that we had to book ANOTHER hotel room so that my baby was on a reservation as well so that there wouldn't be more than 2 people in one room. She informed us that it was impossible for all 3 of us were not able to stay in the same room if we only had one reservation. I have travelled to over 25 countries, stayed in literally hundreds of different accommodations and not once have I ever had this said to me. Every hotel that is adults only clearly states it on their website. I always check this and have never had any issues like the one I faced here. I asked if this happens often and she said yes, unfortunately just last week they had the same issue, so I suspect this is a recurring issue at the hotel. The receptionist's first explanation for having to book two rooms was due to a safety policy that states only two people could be in a room due to "fire regulations," a law that prevents them from going over maximum capacity in the case of a fire. So then I explained to her that there must be a mistake on behalf of the hotel, as the room lists a baby bed as an amenity directly on the hotel's website for the room we booked. She then proceeded to say that actually, children were not allowed at the hotel, and it clearly states that in the terms and conditions of our booking. So wait.. a baby bed is offered as an amenity directly on the hotel's website and room we booked but children are not allowed at the hotel? First the issue was that we did not book 2 rooms and then once she realized that there was an error on the hotel's website she changed the story to children not being allowed all together? Which is it? Regardless, there was a clear mistake on behalf of the hotel but instead she kept insisting that it was MY fault, even though there was NO indication on the website that babies were not allowed. It turns out that AFTER guests (we) pay a NON-REFUNDABLE booking, the terms and conditions inform us that no children are allowed. It was literally impossible to know this beforehand! Why would I book a hotel room that doesn't allow children if I have one? After being yelled at in front of other guests with my toddler in my arms, I made the decision to just check-in and take my daughter up to the room for her nap. My husband was forced to wait in the lobby for nearly 2 hours until the receptionist could speak with the manager, who actually never showed up even though I requested to speak to him/her. Eventually the message was relayed through the receptionist that they would allow us to sleep together and this would be a very special exception to their policy. We

- Außergewöhnlich geräumige Zimmer für ein Stadthotel, modern und durchdacht eingerichtet (Überflutung beim Duschen, wie es durch einen Vorredner genannt wurde, kann ich absolut nicht bestätigen) - gute Lage direkt am oberen Ende der Königsallee - Frühstücksauswahl ist nicht riesig aber dafür fein: Chia Pudding, Overnight Oats, Büffelmozzarella, Smoothie etc und: Kaffee aus der Siebträgermaschine inklusive, was für Kaffeeliebhaber ein absoluter Pluspunkt ist und selbst in Luxushotels aufgrund der Effizienz selten gesehen ist -＞ Insgesamt ein top Preisleistungsverhältnis

Mooie kamer, wel wat warm, maar we hebben ook niet echt geprobeerd te koelen. Matras is hard maar heerlijk op geslapen. We hadden veel gelopen op de kerstmarkt en lekker in de kroeg gezeten, dus dat helpt ook wel om in slaap te komen. Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en lekker. Bediening was aardig, ruimen rommel op als je nog aan tafel zit. Jammer alleen dat een felicitatie er niet in zat bij inchecken op de dag van mijn verjaardag, had ze een extra sterretje op kunnen leveren

Unfortunately the hotel didn't live up to the reviews. We checked into a standard room and a balcony room by a very unfriendly receptionist. When we got to our room the rooms where not what we expected. There were stains on the carpet and curtains, a malfunctioning heating system (read; no heating in winter times) and a bathroom that look nice but was poorly upkept. The thing that disappointed us most was the breakfast from 7:00-10:00. Barely any choice to begin with, and most things were gone by 8:30. Which means if you want bread or juice you'd have to get there in the first hour or you'd get stuck with dry old bread or rotten fruit. And don't even think about asking the staff, as they are the most unfriendly staff I've ever come across. It seems there's a policy against smiling or friendliness in the hotel. The only positive thing is the receptionist that checked us out, she seemed very shocked and disappointed with our treatment and reimbursed the drinks we managed to book on our room.

Ja, wir waren kurzfristig auf der Suche nach einem Hotelzimmer und hatten das Traumhafte Glück, in The Fritz ein Zimmer zu bekommen. Dann haben wir etwas gesehen was für uns wie ein Traum war. Ein Hotel, mit soviel Design -der ganze Aufbau hat viel viel Lust auf -ich möchte gerne hier bleiben. Das Hotel liegt perfekt im Bereich, wo man Party feiern kann oder auch seine Ruhe genießen kann. Alles ist hier möglich, bis in die Altstadt, kurz um die Ecke zum Rhein, ein Fußweg der viel von der Stadt zeigt. Das Konzept geht hier auf, sich 100% wohlfühlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist Traumhaft. Alles ist frisch und wird mit Liebe serviert - sehr lecker. Es sind die kleinen Dinge die uns sehr begeistert haben, Smoothie in kleinen Flaschen, mit dem Plop Bügelverschluss, kleine Gläser mit Marmeladen, Croissant die so groß sind, das man noch mehr Hunger bekommt. Lecker. Ich wünsche euch viel Glück was will man im RITZ wenn man Super schlafen kann in THE FRITZ.

2023年5月に6泊しました。欧州らしい雰囲気とお洒落なセンスがミックスした快適で隠れ家のようなホテルでした。規模は小さく建物も古いですが、私の部屋は水回りを含め、綺麗にまったく問題なくメンテナンスされてました。朝食は特に素晴らしかった。個人的にはDUSで一番好きなホテルになりました。

Lage des Hotels ist wirklich optimal und sehr zentral: die KÖ ums Eck, U-Bahn/Tram am Graf-Adolf-Platz auch. Das Zimmer war geräumig und hochwertig ausgestattet, jedoch überwiegt hier das Design - und die Funktionalität leidet oder wurde in letzter Zeit vernachlässigt. Dusche aus mehreren Gründen nicht gut nutzbar (Überschwemmungen, Thermostat defekt). Beim Balkon sollte man wissen, dass gegenüber ein Bürohochhaus ist und Leute arbeiten! ;) Frühstück ist jedoch wirklich lecker und die (im Preis inkludierte) Minibar gefällt ebenfalls gut. Personal ist „tageszeitabhängig“. Am Morgen superfreundlich, am Nami/Abend eher reserviert und mit sich beschäftigt. Fazit: Am Ende unseres Aufenthalts leider „gemischt“. Die Stadt aber ist ein Knaller!
