阿科松博沃爾塔酒店(Volta Hotel Akosombo)

Nice place. Very historic. Toilet bowl is cracked and must be fixed. The people are very nice. Breakfast was good l love this place 🖤

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes aber trotzdem gut erhaltenes Hotel mit einem der besten Panoramen in Ghana, Blick auf den Akosombodamm mit dem Voltasee eingebettet in liebliche Hügel! Wunderbar! Das Restaurant ist absolut empfehlenswert. Das Essen sehr fein und wird, für Ghana untypisch, auch ohne extrem lange Wartezeiten serviert. Wie gesagt, die Anlage ist nicht mehr die Jüngste jedoch funktioniert alles noch einwandfrei. Auch das Personal wirkt sehr motiviert und kundenfreundlich. Wir waren sicher wiederkommen.

The property is well out of town with no nearby amenities. However, the location has wonderful views of the dam and reservoir. Beyond that, everything was average and nothing noteworthy. The property definitely feels dated. The meal was good but not memorable.

A mixed review for this one. Hotel itself is a little bit dated, and the rooms are quite small and basic. A strange wooden sliding door to the bathroom was quite awkward. The bathroom is just about big enough to squeeze into and the shower was not great. The bed was as hard as a wooden plank. On the plus side we had a balcony with beautiful views. The food at this hotel was outstanding and some of the best I ate during my 2 week trip around Ghana. We had banku and okra stew, jollof rice and chicken, kelewele and salad. It was very tasty. Breakfast was also nice, omelettes and fruit. The restaurant staff were very friendly. The views from the restaurant terrace are amazing, it overlooks a huge lake and the Akosombo dam. The pool looked nice, there was a live band playing poolside one evening which was ok. However a big negative for this hotel has to be the advertised water sports, which was our main reason for booking. We asked at reception and they showed us the price list of all that was on offer…jet skis, pedaloes, boat trips etc. They arranged transport to take us the 10 minute journey to the lake. When we got to the lake we were told that most of the water sports were unavailable as they were under maintenance. The boat trip was fully booked. So we had to return to the hotel, very disappointed. We told the receptionist who had showed us the list that nothing was available but she said she already knew!!!! And yet she allowed us to waste our time travelling to the lake. The water activities were the reason we chose this hotel and it was VERY disappointing that they were not available. I thought a couple of the receptionists were really quite grumpy and unprofessional and wasted our time. Would not stay there again. But would recommend visiting for a meal!

My cousin and I stopped there for breakfast. The staff was friendly and the hotel was quite clean. The restroom was fine. But some minor updates there would really help. We loved the spread from cereals to lunch meals. But the VIEW! Excellent!! The view from our seats completely stole the outing. We would definitely go there again and again!!

Had to be moved to another room as a small water leak appeared to drop from the ceiling. It had been raining hard all night, however. Spacious seating areas and perfect view of the Akosombo dam. Food was excellent.

The room was not cleaned. Although the staff were friendly, but their service were poorly organized and very inconvenient. The view is amazing.

It was a great experience at reasonable prices

Property is located on a secluded hillside with spectacular views of the Akosombo Lake and Dam as well as garden and Mountain View’s. The staff were attentive and friendly. There is no fitness center(gym) or winery so they should be removed from the amenities. The front desk also did not accommodate a “welcome drink” as advertised.
