蜂鳥旅館(Hummingbird Inn)

I was very frustrated looking for a place to stay and host our mom's celebration of life. Other venues were non-responsive or lacking in customer service. After contacting the Hummingbird Inn, I knew I had found the perfect place. The dining room was cozy and decorated with antiques that our mom would have loved. After discussing details with Michael, he said, "Leave everything to me". When I got off of the phone, I cried. The gathering was wonderful, my family felt comfortable sharing stories about my mom and what she meant to us. Eric and Michael helped set up a monitor for a slide of our mom's life. The food was excellent, light with variety and an ice cream sundae bar in memory of my mom's love of vanilla ice cream. The breakfasts are wonderful with different options each day. Eric is a fantastic chef! The wonderful scents coming from the kitchen in the morning were a lovely wake-up call. The inn is within walking distance to shops and restaurants in Easton. It is also close the the Rails to Trails path for walks. Walking north on the trail, you pass the Frederick Douglass Mural by muralist Michael Rosato. The rooms are comfortable and wonderfully decorated. The parlor and porch are wonderful gathering spots. I can't speak more highly of the Hummingbird Inn!

I'll preface this review by sharing that I have had the good fortune to be a guest of dozens of Bed and Breakfast establishments over several decades. In my experience, the customer service of the innkeeper or owner is paramount to an enjoyable lodging experience. Otherwise, you may as well stay at any old "off the shelf" or "box" hotel. The lodger considers the totality of the experience before considering a repeat visit or recommending an establishment to others. Now the review. I stayed in the Oxford Room. I felt cramped in this room and had to climb stairs to use the bathroom. The front door stuck and it had a loose handle. The primary reason for this dismal review, however, is the fact that the owner charged a late fee for check-in. I have never encountered this before at any B&B, inn, hotel, or motel. At approximately 5:15 p.m. on the scheduled day of arrival, I received a text message from the owner inquiring when I planned to arrive. I promptly responded with a text that I would arrive between 8:15 and 8:30 that evening. The owner acknowledged my text with his second text asking that I notify him should I be arriving any time later than my stated arrival time. I arrived before 8:20 p.m. and checked out before 10:00 a.m. the following day. When I checked out, I was handed a printed invoice. That evening I discovered that I had been charged $100 for checkin in late.

The owner, Eric, is a consumate host! Welcoming best describes the experience at Hummingbird. The rooms are well thought out,the extras compatable with the ambience,and the breakfast highest end. No problem here if you desire a prime B and B experience. AND Easton is a great town CWC

Wonderful stay at this cozy B&B. Proprietors are kind and helpful, and make an amazing breakfast. Rooms are bright and spacious with all the necessary amenities. Looking forward to visiting again during summer months.

What a lovely Victorian home B&B to stay in when visiting Easton. The owners go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, but evenings on the front porch are truly special.

This is charming-est B&B we’ve ever stayed at. We stayed in the St. Michael’s room with a big double bed and a massive bathroom-jacuzzi tub; full flowing shower. There are five other rooms each with a different style and color scheme. The artwork everywhere is delightful. And hummingbird art and chotchkes throughout. The tippy top tings about the inn are the delightful three-course breakfast cooked by Owner Eric and the porch with a soothing sound system. Stay another day more than you think to stay so you can get the full immersion into the peace and serenity that is part of the charm. Enjoy the breakfasts!! Bourbon soaked Old Bay bacon is super. The chilled fruit appetizer with mint was spectacular.

Stayed 2 nights & attended a bridal shower there. The entire weekend we experienced the most creative, delicious meals ( including the shower high tea/luncheon service) & incredible lodging. Awesome!!

We have all read reviews on line of products, hotels and restaurants and have become skeptical of the glowing comments. Well, this was not the case when we read the reviews of the Hummingbird Inn on the eastern shore of Maryland in Easton. Arriving for the celebration of our 30th anniversary, we were so pleasantly surprised. The Inn is located on a sleepy street near the downtown area of Easton, Md. The Victorian home greeted us with ample parking nearby. Michael opened the door and we stepped into a bygone era. Impeccably decorated rooms surrounded us with old world charm. We headed off to have lunch at the nearby Tidewater Inn just 2.5 blocks away. Returning we enjoyed the warmth of the afternoon on the wraparound porch. Finally chilled by the late October day, we headed into the music room. In this cozy room we were welcomed by a piano, cello, a set of bongos. Also located in this room was an eclectic offering of books to peruse. So relaxing, we easily spent over an hour just exploring different books. Eric, the owner, returned and found us in the library. Very warm and welcoming, Eric told us a little of the inn's history. Being both owner and resident chef, we could just feel the pride Eric had as innkeeper. We headed up to our immaculate chamber, the St. Michael's Room and were in awe. The room was expertly decorated, antique furnishings and welcoming colors abound. The size of the room was amazing. We were quite pleased. The bed was extremely comfortable with its high-quality linens. The bath was appointed with luxurious toiletries. The claw-footed tub further highlighted the bath's charm. We slept quite well and headed down to breakfast around 8:30. We were not disappointed. Eric's mastery in the kitchen was such a delight. Our pear and cranberry Belinis were superb. The entire breakfast was prepared with artistry and no details were overlooked. Being quite full, our one regret was that we wouldn't be there for another meal! Our anniversary stay could not have been more lovely. We knew nothing about the Inn before our stay. We wish we'd known about it earlier. Wonderful hospitality in a great location for anybody visiting Easton. Our room was both elegant and comfortable with a fantastic shower ! Breakfast in the morning was all homemade and delicious. We will definitely go back.
