惠特利霍爾酒店(Cbh Whitley Hall Country House Hotel)

在惠特利大廳的住宿非常棒，我們住在孔雀套房，這是一個華麗的房間，有一個巨大的浴缸和四張海報床，非常舒適。茶/咖啡設施很好，房間裡甚至還有一台奈斯派索咖啡機。我們的住宿包括房間內的下午茶、晚餐和早餐，都很美味。晚餐給我們留下了特別深刻的印象，它擺盤精美，而且我們根本不需要等待很長時間。工作人員都非常友好，我們感覺受到了很好的照顧。整個會場周圍也裝飾得很漂亮，適合**節。外面很冷，但所有房間都非常舒適和溫暖。我們只住了一晚，但我很高興可以住一整週。非常感謝所有工作人員讓我們的訪問如此特別！

Met with an extremely lovely wedding coordinator, everything was explained fully and our options fully laid out on the table, every possibility covered and explained. No questions left unanswered and also able to give us details on how it would be make individual to us as a couple. Was clear out best interests where the key point/goal and really excited to have our wedding there.

A beautiful location and a very nice afternoon tea, however we were very disappointed as on arrival shown to our seats in the bar area and not the restaurant . The staff were very attentive at first and brought our drinks and afternoon tea quickly which was lovely . We then didn’t see any more staff and had to go to reception to ask for more drinks . The area we were seated in felt like a corridor as visitors were constantly walking past to get to the door at the side of us which lead into the courtyard. Such a shame when this was a birthday celebration and wanted to go somewhere special .

Went for lunch. I had the mushroom stroganoff. Asked for some parmesan which took a long time to arrive then came in little slabs which was very strange, obviously didn't melt! My sisters chicken was slightly on the pink side although she was assured it was OK she couldn't eat it. Staff were very good & attentive.

Thank you for today. I enjoyed my second visit to revisit some ideas and change things up a little. No problems in approach to any new ideas i had as an ever changing mind of a bride. Very interactive with exploring styles, colours and table decor today at my visit with the forever yours styling. Floristry is extremally friendly and approachable and really work with you as a team to decide on colours, styles and their professional advice for the floristry as a whole. Kind Regards Emily.

We had our final wedding meeting, the staff are so lovely and welcoming. We can’t wait to be there in august to get married, the area is perfect and it’s just such a wonderful place. They are always there if we need anything and will answer any question we have.

We stayed for two nights as a last minute break. Cannot fault the staff in the slightest. Other than one very rude lady who pushed past my husband three times without apologising (another staff member apologised on her behalf though), the service we received from them was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, especially the waitress in the restaurant on Thursday night. I can’t remember her name but she was so knowledgeable and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for her. The man on reception was also really polite, friendly and professional as was Diane who ran the little bar on Thursday evening and who did breakfast service on Friday and Saturday morning. She is genuinely one of the nicest, eager to please and most professional people we have ever come across in a hotel (and we stay at a lot). The room we stayed in was small but pleasant enough as it looked out on the lake but the bed was so so uncomfortable so we struggled to sleep and woke up a lot. I booked a Luxury Double and thought it was my own fault that the bed was small but just before we checked out, we checked the room description and the bed should have been at least a King Size according to the description on the website. This makes sense as I was confused why I had chosen a room with a Double as I never normally do. If we had known this earlier, we would have definitely asked to have been moved. The bed issue definitely needs addressing, the mattress replacing as a matter of urgency and changing to a King Size. A big plus was that considering there was a wedding on, it was very quiet in the Parker Wing and we were not disturbed by the continuing party at all once in our room. The wedding started during the day on the Friday we were there, which meant it was really noisy in the lounge area where we were sitting as guests were coming past, shouting for people they had lost and generally just making a lot of noise, so it would have been better if they had closed off the lounge so non wedding guests could relax, or in my case work, without constant distractions and noise. Whilst we were in the lounge, we had the Indian starter platter. This was horrible to be honest. It contained naan bread that I think had frost bite as it was extremely dry some very greasy and burnt mini poppadoms and some onion bhajis and samosas. It was only £10 so can’t complain about the price but it just wasn’t very nice. We ate in the restaurant on both nights. The food was ok but not brilliant. We had the Tasting Menu on the first night which was just ok. The duck ham was really chewy and just wasn’t that nice. The cod was just ok but wouldn’t recommend or have again. The chicken and deconstructed mango cheesecake were lovely though and I had both of these on the following night. On the second night, I had the mushroom and tarragon soup which appeared to contain no tarragon and just salt and my husband had the pigeon which was a little tough and over cooked. A huge negative for me is that

Lovely setting, booked in April so had no idea as to what the lunch menu would be for June, not my choice. Picked Thai Poached Salmon with stir fried pak choi and egg noodles, I like spicy food but this was way too spicy. Our guests enjoyed there meal.

Final wedding service today, and the whole team have been impeccable. Nothing is too much for them. The communication has been above and beyond. Thank you for all of your help! You have made our wedding planning such a breeze.
