When we arrived, one receptionists was serving a customer and the other was working on her PC. After ignoring us for 5 whole minutes she looked up and served us. She kept checking things with her colleague so I guess she was a trainee. A long queue had now grown in reception. As we entered our room on the 2nd floor, it stank of smoke. So we steeled ourselves to return to reception to request a clean room. The gentleman receptionist kindly got us moved to another room. No smoke in this one, but the white painted ceiling by the window was flaking down; oh well, it was better than the smoke. PI fitted a water-restriction device on the bathroom sink tap, which was fine as it saves water. However, they also appear to have fitted one on the shower, which is rubbish, as it restricts the water flow so much it's barely a dribble and certainly not enough force to wash the soap suds off when showing. In the morning, the cleaner just burst into the room without knocking while we were dressing and scurried out again. I appreciate we only paid a small price for the room, but this visit was poor value, even by that small price paid. We’ll have to think carefully before staying in another PI in this location ….
