切斯特菲爾德北普里米爾酒店(Premier Inn Chesterfield North)

We came here as a stop off to our next destination, and would definitely come again. We received a call a couple days before we arrived as they currently have no lift this didn’t cause a problem with us but was great to het the call. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and courteous. Katie checked us in and was helpful with explaining where everything was for our stay. The bed was great and we slept well, we also had a great shower. We must have been in a good room as we were talking to some other people and they said that their shower was abysmal.

We arrived earlier than the check-in time as we travelled a fair way to get here. The lady on reception, Sharon, said she would see if our room was ready for us and after a brief chat to her she moved the room to downstairs as the lift was being repaired and being 33 weeks pregnant the stairs was a struggle for me. Thank you again Sharon for your care and consideration and for all your help during our stay. Our only negative experience of the whole stay was that the room lacked Aircon and the window was on a restrictor preventing us from cooling the room sufficiently despite using the supplied fan.

We stayed at the Premier Inn for a wedding and Hannah at the reception was kind enough to allow us to check in early, which really helped to make our day run more smoothly. All the staff were very friendly and the room and the bed were comfortable.

We chose this hotel for a one night stopover & were not disappointed. Conveniently located within easy driving distance from M1, great driving access to Peak District, sufficient parking spaces, close to a big Tesco & petrol station, short drive to various fast food restaurants, friendly welcome, clean hotel & room, comfy beds, good night’s sleep (quiet location), terrific self serve full English breakfast. As I said, “What’s not to like?”.

Room was noisy from the nearby railway line which disturbed sleep. Staff were lovely and really helpful Lift not working

Pleasant stay. Friendly staff. We was contacted prior to our arrival to inform us that the lift will be out of service, this did not affect our stay, but if you cant use stairs maybe call the hotel first to see if its fixed. Room very clean and well presented. Restaurant attached was ok but if i stay again i would eat out.

Hotel is clean and staff are friendly, BUT both the pressure of the water and the temperature of the shower have been turned down. The slow trickle of water made it a long and unpleasant experience, just to try to wash and condition my hair and feel fully clean.

Great nights stay here. My colleague hadn’t made a booking and was in a panic but the team managed to book her in and calmed her stress levels . I Managed to check in to the wrong room and then locked myself out. Turned out the room I went into the door wasn’t closed and it was the adjacent room to the one I should have went in!! No panic, when I realised the staff sorted it all out and swapped me over to another ( the correct room) . Later that evening my key card got wiped and I couldn’t get in my room again!! We had a proper laugh with the receptionist and could both see the funny side and nothing was too much trouble!! Great customer service and lovely staff. This is why I use the purple palace!!

When we arrived, one receptionists was serving a customer and the other was working on her PC. After ignoring us for 5 whole minutes she looked up and served us. She kept checking things with her colleague so I guess she was a trainee. A long queue had now grown in reception. As we entered our room on the 2nd floor, it stank of smoke. So we steeled ourselves to return to reception to request a clean room. The gentleman receptionist kindly got us moved to another room. No smoke in this one, but the white painted ceiling by the window was flaking down; oh well, it was better than the smoke. PI fitted a water-restriction device on the bathroom sink tap, which was fine as it saves water. However, they also appear to have fitted one on the shower, which is rubbish, as it restricts the water flow so much it's barely a dribble and certainly not enough force to wash the soap suds off when showing. In the morning, the cleaner just burst into the room without knocking while we were dressing and scurried out again. I appreciate we only paid a small price for the room, but this visit was poor value, even by that small price paid. We’ll have to think carefully before staying in another PI in this location ….
