This hotel is very conveniently located about 120m from the slopes, about 350m from the main bus stop for airport transfers and busses to the other ski areas and in the heart of the town for shops, dining, bars and clubs. It is very modern inside with a small dining room for the optional breakfast and a communal lounge with TVs and vending machines. The rooms are very clean with a comfortable bed, small desk & chair, flat screen TV, wardrobe with free electronic safe and a bathroom with bath and shower, toiletries and plenty of towels. There was always hot water and the rooms were cleaned every day. There was free wifi in the room that was fine for voice or video calls on my phone but seemed a little slow on my laptop. This was the first ski hotel I have ever stayed in that wasn't exceptionally hot so there was no need to leave the windows open all night. This was especially fortunate as there were some very noisy bars nearby that went on until 4 in the morning most nights but the excellent double glazing successfully managed to dull this to a very acceptable low level. My room was 406 which is above the door to reception on the same side as the noisy Irish bars and "Bilboard Niteclub". I suspect rooms on the other side would be quieter but as I said the double glazing was very good at blocking the outside noise. I didn't experience any noise from other residents and my room was right by the lift which just occasionally quietly hummed so wasn't a problem. There is an optional Breakfast for €5 per day extra which was very good value running from 8-10am. It was a buffet with cereals, assorted bread with toasters available, ham & cheese, various spreads, hot bacon & scrambled eggs, coffee & tea, juice, pastries, yoghurts & assorted fruit. Stocks were frequently replenished so nothing ever ran out. There was never any problem getting a table. There are 2 TVs in the dining room with one showing the web cams and weather and conditions for ALL the Andorra ski areas. The hotel has a free locker room for skis and boots near reception although as the keys have to be kept in a key rack in the locker room it does seem rather pointless having them locked as anybody can access them. If this worries you then bring a ski lock. The locker room is overlooked by reception as well as CCTV. Note the hotel's official address on Carrer Catalunya is more like a back door and is often locked. When you first arrive you should enter via the entrance on Carrer del Maia which is where reception is and also the entrance you need to use with skis or boards. Both entrances can be opened with your hotel room card key at night. I loved this hotel and would happily stay there again. All the staff were friendly and helpful but I'd like to give a special mention to Romina at reception who spoke perfect English and was particularly friendly and helpful.
