湖畔酒店(Lakeside Inn on Lake Dora)

Beautiful, old hotel right on the lake in Mount Dora. She was showing her age but her charm made up for it. I was looking forward to the pool, unfortunately the water was the same temp at the air. Hot. 🥵 not refreshing at all. It looks like they have started a pier renovation/ improvement, but they seemed to have stopped mid way through, such a shame as it looks like it will be lovely when/if finished. It's within walking distance to everything in town so that is also nice. Despite the bathroom door not having any hardware, the water barely trickled out of the sink and the creaky bed, I would still stay here again

We did not planned our stay in Mt Dora, just booked this nice Inn. Once we arrived, we were surprised! The place is well maintained, everyone is very friendly, the food is delicious. Is within walking distance from all the shops and venues. What a beautiful, homey and historical place!

Great property. Love the area. Room was advertised as lake view. Room not lakeside in main building. Older charming hotel could use new carpeting in halls and stairwells.

The Lakeside Inn is the only place I’ll stay when visiting Mount Dora. The grounds are immaculately kept and the staff are very courteous and helpful. They have their own restaurant, bar, and pool so you don’t even have to leave the hotel! At night, the deck and lighting by the lake are so romantic and serene. Thank you for making my weekend getaway so magical.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The rug in our room needs to be redone. It did have some stains and looks a bit worn out. Other than that all else was awesome. The restaurant had delicious food. Walking steps from many restaurants and shops. Mount Dora like is stunning.

The truth is that if you want to stay here you must know that this is not a modern hotel, rather an old "lady" charming and historical. The rooms are small, showers small but it's ok for a couple of nights. The location is excellent, very clean and friendly staff You just need to overlook many things and accept the "old lady's" charm as it is.

Air conditioner in our room leaked water on the rug overnight. When desk staff was alerted the next morning they had maintenance put 2 towels over the wet area and that’s how it stayed until we checked out the next day. The bar isn’t good. We ordered a White Russian - it tasted awful so we sent it back and asked for a kahlua sombrero. We were told they had no kahlua ( which explains why the White Russian looked and tasted terrible.) At breakfast at 9 am the next morning I chose bagel and cream cheese from the menu. The waitress said «  I think there was only 1 cream cheese left and it might be gone. » We asked for a straw for the iced coffee and we were told they’d see if they had some. Luckily they did —we were considering offering to go to the store for them.
