河荒野水濱小屋(River Wilderness Waterfront Cabins)

Die Beschreibungen von 2019 zum modrigen Geruch und zum alten Mobiliar haben uns lange mit der Buchung zögern lassen. Wir konnten dies dann für die Unterkunft #10 definitiv nicht bestätigen. Das Apar**ent war modern renoviert und durchweg sauber. Wir mochten besonders die moskitonetzgesicherte Veranda und den Blick auf das Wasser. Die Stadt Everglades City its eher etwas für Ruhesuchende, die das Authentische mögen. Es ist kein klassischer Touristenort, wie es der Name und die Lokalität vermuten ließen. Es gibt nette klassische amerikanische Diners und abends hat man beim Laufen durch den Ort das Gefühl, diesen allein zu bewohnen. So weit und leer ist es. Aber wir haben uns zu keiner Sekunde unwohl oder unsicher gefühlt. Für die Nacht vor dem Flughafen oder für ein, zwei Nächte als Stopover sehr zu empfehlen. Der Parkplatz vor den Cabins ist riesig, theoretisch kann hier jeder mit eigenem Bus anreisen ;)

Tolle Unterkunft mit großer Terrasse mit Blick auf den See. Es gibt kostenlose Kanus und man kann den Pool des anderen Resorts mitbenutzen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge und innerhalb des Ortes alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet. Allerdings sollten die Zimmer mal renoviert werden, sauber ist es trotzdem. Die idyllische Lage hat mir am besten gefallen!

Prima plaats als je in de Everglades wilt verblijven. Basic, maar prima. Je kunt de kano's gratis gebruiken. Het was schoon, en het incheckproces verliep soepel. Wel veel muggen! Vanaf de cabin konden we alligators zien.

Logement sur pilotis avec cuisine équipée et chambre indépendante. Vue sur la rivière depuis le balcon : très sympa ! Petit restaurant à proximité et épicerie dans le bourg.

Cute time share cabin with a great view. Some of the kitchen appliances were a little rusty but not too big of a deal as we were only there one night (it wasn't cheap so the rusty appliances was a bit of a surprise). They let you use their canoes for free which we did and that was super-fun. Everything else was great including the staff.

The cabin was spacious with a nice riverfront view& porch. Cabin was nicely furnished. Bedding comfortable. All needed extra bedding& complimentary toiletry items were supplied. Plumbing worked but looked ancient as well as the overall cabin. Our main concern was in reference to the table, doorframes& refrigerator door all very sticky. A good scrub- down seemed well past-due. Very over priced for what we received.

Enjoy the screened deck right off your dining area or the boat dock down a set of steps to relax and see wildlife. Convenient location with Island Cafe right across the street for breakfast. Accommodations aren't modern but there is a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and screened deck. The manager is friendly and even left me a birthday card!

Situated at a nice location right on the river and a large open waterway, this is a wonderfully rustic place to stay in Everglades City. There was plenty of room in the cabin, it was well appointed with everything (and more) that we would need, and clean. The large screened back deck provided a scenic view over the water and the Everglades from where we saw dolphins, many pelicans, osprey, lots of fish jumping, and plenty of undetermined critters - all in wonderful and serene silence. Thank you for giving us New England'ers a good helping of true Southern hospitality!
