Attending a large family gathering in Rye NH, we spent one night at Lamie’s. It’s a lovely old-tyme place. The lounge was fascinating and we had a quick bowl of chowder when we arrived. I had the fish chowder and it was full of fish, but my husband had the clam chowder and he said there were very few clams. The room was clean, and the area was quiet. The free breakfast was very nice.

We had dinner at the Old Salt Restaurant and the food and service were exceptional. They have an all you can eat fish & chips on Friday night and it was excellent. The rooms were nicely done and were quiet. The pillows were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel. An excellent place to stay and I will definitely go back at some point.

Very noisy at night, cars outside, doors slamming,bright light shining in our window, no sleep at all. Lots of history in the inn but stay somewhere else. Pub food good, great happy hour, stay elsewhere. Trust me.

Very enjoyable stay. Having the restaurant/bar attached was a plus. Service and food in both was excellent. This is an old hotel but very well kept up. The room was small but pleasant and very clean.

I have stayed at Lamies many times. It’s always my go to to getaway for a day or two!! Love this place. Great food, great people and great ambiance. I can’t wait until my next visit each time I leave

The property is historical. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating. Its in a central location. Our room was clean and cozy, loved the canopy bed, very comfortable, nice pillows. Plenty of free parking.

This is a great, historic inn and I was greeted by a wonderful staff and we immediately had a great conversation. Historic photos, particularly of Dwight Eisenhower, who stayed here with his family in November 1963, adorn the walls. The room was wonderful, and so was the continental breakfast and dinner in the tavern. It is a special place and it was clear there were many folks who have been here often. It is also five minutes from the beach.
