The Carmel Spa did not disappoint and has only gotten better. The service has improved tremendously, especially at the meals. Coffee and eggs are delivered quickly as well as at dinner. No more missing orders since all staff have a hand held tablet to enter orders. The towels are huge and absorbent and wonderful. The outdoor pool is peaceful and tranquil - a retreat from reality. My one complaint: they have done renovations and the shower is huge yet the slope is away from the drain so when taking a shower, the entire bathroom floor gets soaked. Even placing a towel does not stop the flow. Clearly the contractor made a mistake - and I can only hope that it was limited to my room (#110) and not to every bathroom that was refurbished.

We had the pleasure of staying in the luxury villa for two nights, during our babymoon and wife’s birthday. Quite and secluded villa with private pool, and anything we could ask for. Gina made sure we had what we needed, to make our stay superb. Highly recommend for any getaway, and surely we’ll remember our last trip before parenthood, as a perfect one.

We had heard such great reviews on this hotel . From the moment we walked in the service was terrible , check in staff are rude and there is total chaos at check in time . The rooms are old and outdated even though apparently you the hotel has had a renovation. I’m sure the room type we booked was not what we received . No lifeguard at the pool so you can’t go in and no service at the pool so you can’t even get a drink . We called to find out where the bomb shelter is last night and I’m still waiting for someone to come show me after 3 phone calls , the bomb shelter signs lead to a stairwell on the outside of the hotel. All in all not a great experience and won’t be back

It's a nice hotel, but certainly not what you expect from a 5 Star hotel. The surrounding is beautiful, the gardens are spacious and well kept and the atmosphere is calm. Staff is accomodating and we felt they cared about our experience. While the hotel was closed for structural renovations there is still a lot of work to be done with all the other elements for it to earn the 5 Star positioning. Food was nice nothing inspiring (lunch which was vegetrian only was actually much better than dinner), the pool equipment like the mattresses are worn out, we encountered several broken glasses which were used to serve us and other small details that were overlooked but are a part of the experience. It looks like a work in process still. I have been to other Isrotel hotels and there is definitely a gap to close. We had a good time and enjoyed ourselves and at the same time expected something more from a 5 Star "exclusive" hotel.

The best place for quiet, relaxation, and comfort. Amazing meals with a tremendous variety of healthy and delicious foods. Both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, perfect temperature for swimming or just relaxing in the water. Fantastic friendly and helpful staff. A once in a lifetime experience that we hope to do once a year.

I will start with mentioning that the food was excellent, definitely different then other hotels I've been to. Delicious, good veraiety and nicely plated, I was very impressed. My only comment it that there is no marking for alergens, so the waitress had to go check which dinner plates had cocunut. The room was very big, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and there are low lights in the room for walking to the bathroom during the night. We used the spa and the pool, and also walked around. The indoor pool was colder then I expected, but as a swimmer I'm used to warming up by swimming. The massage was a bit overprices in my opinion, and we were definitely annoyed that a double massage costs more then 2 single massages. Overall, very nice and comfortable.

My husband and I celebrated my 30th birthday in this wonderful spa hotel. We had an amazing experience. The hotel is located in a peaceful location. The food was excellent. The cocktails in the hotel's bar were great. We enjoyed the variety of Yoga classes and training in the gym in front of the beautiful Carmel Forest view. The Spa is extraordinary. The indoor & outdoor pools and rest areas are well designed. The massage treatments were very good. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. We had enjoyed a great peaceful & romantic vacation and are looking forward for our next stay :)

Beautiful spa with great facilities, professional staff and above all- one of the best restaurants ever. Very friendly to all types of dietary requirements. Room was very well sized and clean, highly recommended!
